One of the local speed shops has a slightly used F3 Procharger for sale. I read through the Empire thread about running an F1 on a Power Stroke. It mentioned an F3 but never got in depth on it. I am by far no expert on 6.4's I was just wondering if this supercharger would be beneficial on a stock fuel factory compound truck ? Would it be similar to running a big atmosphere in front of the stock turbos with a better low end? Or would it eat up any power it made like the F1.

Given the amount of cfm an F3 can do, I don't think stock fuel would be enough. I could be wrong but I don't think so. You'd have to slow the Procharger down so much it probably wouldn't be very beneficial.

That thing puts almost 3 times the air flow of an F1? Hope you have an engine that can take 100-150psi. LOL

There is a lot of tuning etc to get it to work right. I don't know much about adding one, and it does rob a lot of power just to make it turn.

Do you have any idea how much it would rob when it is pushing the max? I definitely aint an expert on superchargers, but I was under the impression they do well down low, but really start to need a lot of HP (ie rob horsepower) to spin them when they start pushing some serious boost.
To the OP, I would love to see you try it just to see how it worked. How exactly were you going to run it...before the atmo, stand alone, etc?

They do take a lot to keep spinning, but don't those put out an ungodly amount of cfm? I mean enough that you wouldn't miss what they eat up. Assuming this would be a mainly street truck, you probably wouldn't notice it. I think a twisted driveshaft would get my attention more than some power loss. :thumbsup:

The Problem i could see would be a motor whos grossing 1200hp only netting a 1000hp. get where im going? puts extra strain on a motor that already has problems staying together at that hp level.
That was one of my biggest issues. Turbos are Damn near like free horse power. I think with an f3 you would want to turn it pretty slow. Mass air flow should be easily achieved as long as target boost is where it should be
