I'm pulling an engine from a friends truck and installing a junkyard engine in place of it

Truck is a e99 replacement engine came from e99 e series bus

I know that the drivers side exhaust manifold is diffrent but will the van one work in the truck?

Ill be using the van turbo with adapter but swap the truck spider onto the engine. Should I use the van pedestal or truck pedestal? Iirc there is a difference

You can't use the van turbo with the truck spider as they are different sizes. The van turbo is larger in diameter. The fuel bowl setup is also different on them but it will work. If you use the van turbo, up pipes, and manifolds they will all work together. Then you will need to find a spider off of a later 99-03 truck and either the plenums as well or reducer boots.

I thought I remember the manifold being different on the drivers side...will it clear everything in the truck chassis?
