Yeah, believe me, I know how it goes, but I've already got a "fast" truck. I think this one is gonna stay relatively tame. Intake and exhaust only after its driving well on stock components. Then maybe go see Bill at PHP for a tune. Maybe efuel if I decide to drive it a lot.

Hey, if this truck has 36X,XXX then just keep it stock! Just replace all fuel components & reseal & you'll be good! With that kind of mileage I doubt it would last too long with performance parts. Just go for reliability.

If it has 360,xxx miles then chances are that it may have more than that. Obs trucks went to 399,999 then rolled back to 300,000 miles.

Rumor has it that the later 97 trucks had the odometer programed to go above 400k. I cant confirm this but Ive heard it from a few people. When you turn the key on and the odometer zeros out see if the first number is a 3 or an 8. If its an 8 it will go above 400k

The guy I bought it from was the fleet mechanic for the company that owned it. He knows the truck very well. The odometer hasn't rolled over yet. I am curious if it goes to 800,000 on the odometer though

The odo will show 5's.
I had a 95 with the I6 that magically jumped from 399,999 to 500,000 one day.
Kilometers not miles.

Ok, I was thinking I would build a flatbed and lower the truck a bit, but with it being a short bed, I don't think that's gonna look right. Any thoughts? I love flat bed trucks but on a short box, IDK.

Ok, I've been looking at leveling kits for the front. Seems fairly simple, coil spring spacers just like on the newer 4wd trucks. Anybody here running a front leveling kit on a 2wd? If so, what brand?
