***If you have Ported rails, please do not vote as we already know these cause the same problem****

Im going to start a thread so hopefully we can get a number of the people having problems and narrow it down to who has the problems.

The symptoms are usually at light throttle, right after it kicks in OD, if you monitor your FRP, it will surge 2-4k psi rapidly and cause a shake resulting in you having to let off the pedal or give more pedal.

I know Eric's newest tunes have a problem with it. The problem SHOULD only be with extreme street and/or extreme race. Extreme X should not do it.

I will also add polls for other brands.

After voting please give a discription of the tune and your mods.

*** Stock fuel = factory lpfp, factory hpfp
*** Aftermarket = airdog or airdog w/ elite upgrade

*** If you vote for (Other Tuner/Tunes) Please specify which

I would get the surging on mine when running idp's race tune. Especially with cruise on going down a hill. I've put about 350 miles so far on Matt's race tune and it's been the smoothest thing ever. Usually on my other tunes when I would tap the brake to turn my cruise off the truck would jerk. With Matt's it's so smooth it feels stock. I left all the shift settings alone and only adjusted for my tire size and revolutions per mile. The shifting on this tune is awesome. I honestly have never had a tune this powerful be so smooth and not jolt the truck when shifting. Im also amazed at the lack of smoke. Now if I could just get Matt's tune on my dashdaq so I could get rid of my livewire lol.

Unfortunately, I doubt that'll happen.. At least not in the near future.

Lol sorry I brought your name up I took it as you was having the problem too

I unfortunately have ported rails, as long with 1 of my other friends with an 08, both running spartan tunes with surging. But 1 friend witha '10 with spartan tuning no fuel mods has the problem with ALL tunes

I have ported rails and the only surging I ever had was with Eric's tunes at 55mph I think. Been so damn long since I drove it, I am not sure. lol Never an issue with Matt's. Eric did tell me my issue has to do with my adjustable pedals though.

Mine happens from 40-50 MPH never does it when I'm accelerating through that speed range. Just when I'm trying to stay in that range.. I never would have imagined the adjustable pedals could be a cause??

My surging is at light throttle, almost always happens at exactly or just a little over 56mph. People have told me its me hitting the pedal, its because i didnt have traction bars, and a bunch of other things.... But it seems like now its starting to show it may be in the most recent tuning by a few different tuners.
