I'm running gearhead Hot street, Truck has ARP studs, full EGR delete, 4 inch turbo back. Just had complete new longblock & injectors installed roughly 2,500 miles ago. Truck has been doing great!!

Just took a weekend trip to Lake Cumberland 1st long trip towing my boat 32 Fountain, it & trailer weighs in 10,000-12,000lbs. Could set the truck on cruise @ 70-75mph & never touch the pedal. Peak EGT's I seen were 1150's, boost mid 40's. No problems what so ever on the trip.

Well get home unhook the boat, leave the drive way roll into it a lil & notice way more smoke than usual for this tune. Have been playing w/ it a lil since, its sluggish out of the hole & lots of smoke compared to normal & boost will jump from 20ish straight to 40ish? Now driving on the highway everything seems perfectly normal, nothing out of the ordinary other than higher boost #'s when getting on it, I seen 57psi where the previous high I had seen was 47-48psi.

No codes, no puking, I'm clueless on what could cause this.

Almost sounds like the hp turbo or vgt arent acting right. Sluggish down low but fine on the expressway points to it. Have you swapped tunes?

Check exhaust back pressure key on engine off should be 14.7 at sea level with a dashdaq Ect if your using a h&s it should be 0 if it's reading high then you have a bad sensor

What should it read on the livewire?

both read in kpa? They should be the same, looks like the map sensor might be the problem
are you getting and codes for turbo performance?

On the DashDaq do you read from Exhaust Back Pressure(Absolute)? I'm having similiar issues with my truck but throwing these codes.

P2563 -Turbocharger Boost Control Position Sensor A Circuit Range/Performance
P006B, MAP - Exhaust Pressure Correlation

Should I be checking for codes w/ it running or just the key on? Just the key on I'm getting no codes.... But I do have the engine light on the dash on!!
