So I am installing the passenger side, or trying to, and turns out the eye to eye length of the carlis I was sent are about 6 inches shorter than the stock ones, yes i installed the stock shackles as well. Obviously they wont line up. Did carli send me the wrong leafs? I know the 05-07 length is shorter. Truck is in pieces right now and I am a bit ticked off.

it does sound like they are wrong
unless they have a big arch and need to compress to flatten out since they ride so plush

i don't remember needing to do that with Deaver /Carli

is there a part # on the spring pack ?

05-07 is like 8" shorter

I was just looking they are supposed to provide 15" of overall travel if you have the long travel upgrade

they may just need to be compressed
maybe a part # can clear it up ?

I was trying to compress it a ton, and it would barely budge. I thought they would go right in and werent preloaded. Theres no part number on the deaver either.

that sucks how do they keep track of whats what with no part # ?
maybe they don't LOL

you will need an eye to eye measurement and a phone call

not what you wanted to hear I know

I bought a set of " Barely used " Deavers they even had a part #

I know because I had to call them and ask why the tire sat so far back and the lift was not close to what it was supposed to be

the Deaver guy " Scott" pulled up the # and told me they were ten years old
and apparently worn out LOL

How much difference were they from the driver's side? Call and talk to Dan at Carli, their customer service is great.

Yea I wasn't sure if he already had one side in or just started on that side. I would highly doubt you would need to compress a brand new spring to get it to fit.

Yeah I started and didnt get to the other side. The compression i would need to get them to fit os a bit extreme. Hopefully Ill get it straight tomorrow.

Carli comfirmed I have the correct part number. Now I have to figure out how to straighten them out enough to get the rear bolts to line up. Any ideas?

I have a fork lift with a 750 lb weight lol (joking I used this setup to "unkink" my truck when it was uneven side to side). In all serious- spring shop will take care of it

Straightening the arch before install will change the spring rate. Without knowing the tools or equipment available, one could use some heavy c-channel to hold the spring in a compressed state. Just need to figure a way to compress the leafs safely.

Got them installed finally, and all I can say is wow. Amazing ride quality. Almost feels like a half ton.
