So I haven't done much with the Superduty other than putting a bunch of miles on it. My Dodge has been parked so I decided to finally show it some TLC and bring it back to life. I have a Superduty Build planned for SEMA but this project is a filler. I'm shooting for it to be complete by the NHRDA spring nationals in Bakersfield on the 22nd. Truck is getting tore down to nearly the bare frame and gone over. I have put a ton of miles on this truck and I am wanting to continue to drive this thing everywhere. A lot of racing is in store this season. Started on it the other day and this is where i'm at..

I am tearing into the engine today and also rolling the frame outside to pressure wash everything. I converted it to an automatic and never finished looming wires because I always had the want to move the fuse box and batteries. I had a turbo oil feed line crack and everything got oil coated a while back. That was when I decided to let the truck sit and address everything at once.

One thing hat has always bothered me was the holes in the frame. I took the time to make pieces and weld them shut

Well my deadline was Saturday. I worked friday 7am til saturday 9am and got everything done for the event that was actually that day. With the exception of a few things i'd like to get done, it is mostly complete. I need to build a coolant res tank and finish up some wiring for accessories then build the roll cage. Now for my MAJOR set back. The truck was complete and ready to start at 9am. I got in it and primed the fuel system and shortly after cranked until it fired up. With AN hose for everything fluid related on this truck, I anticipated some type of leak somewhere. The first was the turbo drain on the atmosphere turbo. The bolt holes aren't centered with the drain hole so the offset caused a leak. Now I modified the old drain with a -10 AN bung so I had the wider flange to fix that issue. Next was a small trans leak from the rear trans cooler line inlet on the trans. I let that one do it's slow drip while it ran for a few minutes. I then went underneath and there was trans fluid all over that area. Assuming that the fitting was loose I gave it another half turn which was pretty tight and left me suspicious. Truck then started right up and it leaked more. At that point I had a pretty good idea of what was wrong and crawled underneath to find a hairline crack in the case. I tried to JB Weld it just to get by for the day until I could tear it apart and weld the case this week but had no luck so I left it at the shop and took the superduty to the event. Here are some crappy cellphone pics of where it's at now.
