No, short answer

lengthen it out with something that says you cant have a hood stack.
all this thread says so far is you have to run a muffler. ok thats easy a 5" magnaflow about 24" long should put it about roof hieght which also alleviates the blinding smoke thing

His truck has emissions devices, deleting any emissions device is against federal law. Can't have them with a hood stack. Better? Also some states have laws stating exhaust MUST exit behind the cab. Does that fit your standards of an answer?

If you do it though, either ull never get hassled for it or get stopped first time out/ticket.

Im in tampa florida and run a hood stack for over a year. No problems. Few cops even gave a thumbs up. Now if you drive around like a douche belching smoke at every red light then theyll probably bust your balls

What's the reason for putting a hood stack on? Other than the bad ass look? Lol

None. BA is all you need on deezel truck. If it whistles, makes smoke, or lopes you should always buy it.

Well the reason I asked was wondering if you could make a dual exhaust system work(not sure what people call it). Flip a toggle switch and you go from hood stack to exhaust. I figured it was turbo related.

Ty you forgot the big P or C on the back window.

You are referring to electric cutouts. Nothing is impossible but a hood stack is physically coming out the hood. The stack is s decoration as the actual stack is inside it but anyway.
Cutouts typically occur where the headers puke into the exhaust system.
