Gotta pull it up then turn it. It should be hard to turn. If it is its either maxed out or locked down.

Cool. Ill pull it a bit.

That was easy. LOL One full turn to the front (it is mounted same orientation as the front drivers side wheel) Ill head up the road for lunch and see what happens... LOL It is also on Matt's Street tune, so I should make plenty of drive pressure, but I will still take her easy until I see what effect I had.

Thanks guys!

One full turn forward (counter clockwise) zero results. One more full turn forward, still zero change. Am I going the wrong way? I expected a change, either lower or higher... EBP shoots up quick, then just stops dead at 50.7.

I was going to say if you kept turning it a certain way with no results it sounded like it was open all the way and it was just the spring pressure regulating it at this point. Like I said before, it may be a good idea to close it off all the way and slowly open it to India your desired responsiveness/ back pressure.

Trucks with just a programmer exhaust and intake see more ebp then what you're describing so don't be afraid to ramp it up a bit, unless you've had problems with puking that haven't been addressed.

Yeah, we had puking last year, with NO gate and 100 pounds EBP... Now, we are obviously on the other side of the spectrum with a gate and 50 pounds EBP.... I'll just crank it up, a little at a time, until I get to 60 or so, and see what improvements I get.

If your reading it with the DD I would get it set on the dashdaq to around 80, 65 actual

Because your concern should be actual backpressure, and the DD is reading absolute which has the barometric pressure added in and where you at is right at 14.7. Are you seeing 51-52 on the dashdaq? If so that is reallllly low backpressure ~38psi. You can also take into account that you are not on stock valvetrain so even close to 70 actual should be fairly safe but I wouldnt want to go any higher

Yea if you're reading 50 on your Spartan than that is wicked low bp. Take whatever reading you get and subtract 14.7 or 15 to get your actual reading. Honestly these stock trucks see 65psi actual or so, so I wouldn't worry if you saw a bit more than that. Crank it right up and let her eat. No wonder your spool up was so poor :p i wouldn't be surprised if the numbers you had were really close to what your truck is making with that low of bp

Right on, I will adjust fire on my calculations then... I am only reading 50.7 on the DD

Yeah, she drives like a big single... Gotta roll into it slowly, or black out the road... But she also lights hard like a single does...

Explains for the poor dyno numbers. You should be able to spool like a mother with a 62mm and clean up nicely (depending on tuning) with the 75. How did your test drive go
