Did it just develop a rough idle ? Or it came that way.

Could also be too much ICP/pw.

I usually set up a 200% nozzle file with 450-470 ICP and 1.6-1.8 ms of pw. Bump idle to 700rpm and it's smooth as glass

Its been rough since I installed everything,

At an EOT of 80 degrees (cold)
870-900psi ICP
19.14-19.53% IPR DC
1.25-1.28ms PW
21-.22gr MFDES

At an EOT of 158 degrees (hot)
660-750psi ICP
15.40-17.18% IPR DC
1.22-1.34ms PW
.17-.22 MFDES

It seems like the biggest difference between hot and cold is that ICP and the IPR DC is higher and everything is much more stable and doesn't vary as much when cold. It jumps between 19.14-19.53% IPR DC when cold, it doesn't vary in between like every other parameter listed. RPM vary's between 608-699.

It sounds like MFD is high.. i like 6-12 at idle warm if i remember my notes... If you call in and get the machine that means that one of the two full time guys must be on a bathroom break or something. At times we have 4 people in the office, but it isn't all the time. If you leave a message you will get a call back.

On a manual truck with a 200% nozzle, getting the idle perfect has its challenges because there is hardly any load on the engine in neutral or with the clutch in.

All is really good. Been busy. Haven't had time for the forums, as lots of locals got word I'm doing tuning.

But my trucks going full built. Got a set of hypermax rods ready to go in and been picking jelichs brain on tips for four digits.

Fingers crossed.

Matt. I usually don't play with the mfd table a ton. But wouldn't pulling a bit of pw and ICP settle the idle down. I've found dripping ICP to just above where it wants to start rolling at idle gives the smoothest results. One side affect is a little haze here and there.

Seems a trade off with larger nozzles. Either a bit if chop and clean. It smooth with a haze on my experience with 200%.

400s are a whole new ball game lol
