All i was getting at is that you can street drive a 100 percent nozzle, would i recomend it for a dude shooting for 700-750, no there are some trade offs, i cant quiet get the haze at idle to be completely clean, its almost non existant but there is still some, also the truck is louder at idle, like the pilot injection doesnt quite do what it supposed to.

All and all sizing your injector for your end hp goal is what is the best way to do it, same as your turbo goals, drivablility and hp will determine if you want compounds or a single, or how big of each. All up to the end use, threads like this really give the end user a good idea of what everyone is running and how it works, not every set up is for everyone we all know that.

Lmao I had to post that! Dustin do you think 100s with a low pw at idle will haze real bad? Because my 30s on a 2.2pw hazes at idle. Doesnt really bother me though

Honestly I had more haze with 110s and erics tuning than I do now. I haven't played with the hazing a ton

so power would be the same, fuel per time.

how about egt's? short "flash" vs longer "fire"

Power peak would about be the same. But a bigger nozzle will generally be able to run less pw and timing with the result being lower egt. Also if you do something like sled pulling then a huge nozzle like a 150% will allow you to inject enough fuel in a short enough window to run really high RPMs.

So I've read this entire thread and beside the constant derail about nozzles LOL I've got a few questions.
So so this budget kit cones with a s366. Which is a 66mm turbo. Correct?
Now I've read about s366, s472, s475 yadda yadda yadda.
What's the differences with all these different singles. I know a s472 is bigger than a s366.
So why do these half say run a s366 and the other half say run the s472 and the oddballers say everything in between.

So what's all the differences? What would be an advantage of running a 66 vs a 72? Or any other size for that matter.

Finally what would be the best one for a stock truck with just a tune, exhaust, intake, and studs? And who are the top recommendations to tune this setup? I've read so many names.

The amount I tow is so minimal, this is basically a street truck. As for horsepower. I'm not trying to go over the top, but do want something fun.

On stock fuel truck (and even with trucks with added fuel) the bigger the turbo the more lag you will have. If you want to do a single it would be best to start off with the 66 and you can move up from there.
MPD's budget single kit is pretty much the same set up as there original kit, you just don't get the exhaust manifolds and up-pipes (which are nice and are claimed to help spool).
You do have an option of larger turbos for the kit (which are direct replacements on the kit) along with billet wheels over the cast wheel (which will cost more). I put a link for MPD so people can see the kit http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33102

All in all I think you'll be happy with the 66 (if you choose to go with the single) IMO

Edit: you are going to have to run something bigger then a spartan 210 before you start deciding you need more air. My .02

Bigger turbo = more lag. Makes since. Haha. Would it be worth it to get the ups and manifolds? Most likely I'll get the billet wheel with it.

I've been running the 275 here the past 5-6 weeks. I love it. Its probably where its staying at. Or maybe the 310. LOL

I daily drove the 310 for years with stock head bolts. Don't be scared! Granted it was puking coolant the whole time. LOL If you are afraid to run the 310 then I don't see the reason to switch to a single.

I'm definitely not scared! LOL I just bumped it up to the 275 a while ago. Plus I heard it has the best fuel economy. Where the 310 has more power but slightly less mpg.
