I need one 6.4 injector, if anyone has any laying around and want to sell one or the whole set. Just for future reference make sure you take the ring off the injector before trying unscrew the two halves... Another lesson learned the hard way.

I bent one of the pins on the (idk what its called but its the round thing in the injector with 2 pins and 2 holes). Anyway I assume the ring on the nozzle bound up and the pin bent when I was pulling it apart.

I didn't have any luck with the ebay ones. 3 injectors all thru balance codes. Put a ford reman in and it worked fine.
.check ebay for used take outs or the site
I think a guy is parting out a 6.4 on here as we speak

I will let you know when Iget them, I may sell you one heck I might give you one for all the free advice you have gave me...lol.

Have you ever seen one do that before? Or am I the only sucker that ever broke one. I saw a guy at a shop pull one apart and he didnt pull the ring off the nozzle and his was fine. I think mine was just really stuck and the nozzle twisted with the housing.

When you disassemble them just crack the cup about 1/16-1/8 of a turn. Then tap the tip with a rubber mallet. Then turn a bit again. Tap again. Do this over and over till things are free. If it doesn't want to turn tighten it a bit then try again. Slow and steady wins the race on this one. Tapping the tip after each turn really helps. Also take a oring pick and scrap all the carbon from around the tip/cup area so nothing binds. Think that's it.

Yeah mostly they actually stick in the nozzle. I have left the ring on the end a couple times and had no problems.

Haller told me lately he has been soaking in nozzle in penetrating oil before trying to tear them apart seams to help.

That's good advice working the nozzle back and forth tighten and loosen is what seams to be the best. Rubber mallet helps too
