I was 99% sold on buying a 14 I was driving. But I thought nah I'll go for a quick spin in the 15. I'll be waiting for the Lariet they have to come in now. You know I read so many different things on break in. I always went by the break it in how your going to use it theory. Never done me wrong.

I didn't drive this one long enough to notice they. But there seemed to be a dead spot in the pedal

I have about 250 miles on mine since I got it yesterday. It definitely does not spool as fast. Power is better midrange and up. It lacks some bottom end.

You think they purposely did that to put less stress on the rods? Or is that the nature of the turbo

nature of the turbo pog. any dead spot in the pedal is likely due to emissions tuning. Gotta keep it from creating soot, so they cut the fueling when conditions require.

I bet that bottom end will be a lot better with some added fuel from tuning! I can't wait to see what these things will do

Sent from a Cummins plant, driving a Powerstroke, with a TDI on the side!

Here's a picture of a few 15's the dealership had. I test drove one today it definitely has some power then the previous 6.7. The dealership offered me quite a bit on trade for my truck but I am not just ready yet to jump into a new one again.

We have a customer dropping one off in a week or so for a lift kit install. I'll take plenty of pics to post when it gets here.

I may drive by in the fall and see what they'll do with mine. Will have close to 100k on mine by then.

got this from FTE

"Meet the Team Behind the 2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty Thread"

"Great questions. We've enhanced the torque converter to improve turbo response in line with the increased size of the turbo. On the new high pressure fuel pump, we increased the camstroke to pump more fuel, and that fuel is used to make additional power for our best in class ratings. On the exhaust brake, we increased engine exhaust braking horsepower. With the improvements, it's a lot easier to hold speed down a grade"

"Thanks for the question! 2015 F-Series Super Duty pickup trucks feature Dana Super 60 front axles. Our most capable Super Duty pickup, the F-450, uses a Dana S130 with 4.30 final drive ratio. F-350 (dual-rear wheel) uses a Dana M80 rear axle.

All single-rear wheel F-250 and F-350 rear axles are from Sterling with a 3.31 ring and pinion. The Power Stroke diesel is available with a 3.55 rear axle. F-350 dual-rear wheel has standard 3.73 rear axle or 4.30 with the max tow package."

"Thanks for asking! The 2015 F-Series Super is rated according to our internal tow testing standards. We have started to apply SAE’s J2807 tow testing standard to our all-new vehicles, such as the 2014 Ford Escape, 2014 Transit Connect and 2015 Ford F-150. Future all-new models will also comply with the standard, though at this time certain heavy-duty pickup trucks over thirteen thousand pounds gross vehicle weight rating are not currently included under SAE J2807."

The 05+ 250/350 had just Dana 60s and the 450/550 and F350 wide track had Super 60s?

that's what the 450's look like now... I don't think they've brought back the Tow Boss package. Short run back in '08 only to my knowledge

Tow boss package was available from 05. The 67W wide track option was available from job 2 08's to early 09. That's just the wider axle. Tow boss package just came with 4.30's and a increased GCWR to 26,000 lbs.

My 08 F-350 has the TB package with the 4.30's
