You shouldn't get compressor surge unless you chop the throttle. You can try the late lock though. That's the beauty of having the options.

Did anything ever get figured out with that new update?

Not sure where I should post this. By have y'all considered a maintenance log for the dashdaq? For instance under the main menu there is a button for guages, data logging, diagnostics, etc. but have a file to remind you (at user set intervals) to change oil, trans oil, fuel filters, etc. just an idea
