Well with all my mods, and tranny, and studs, ive got about 12k into my truck and it makes 370hp... and thats me doing most all the labor... to put a 12V in you can get the mounts and adapters for around 2k... and then make 600 hp way cheaper than a 7.3L and have better mpg

But you are forgeting the engine and the supporting mods to make 600hp.

How did you get 12K into your pickup??

I will not even be close to that.. And that would be with more HP..

I should sit down and put a list and price together. I might shock myself.. LOL

If I was ever to do a cummins in my pickup. I would put in a 5.9L CR.. I cant stand the sound of the older 5.9L. them things are loud!!!

ya, i agree there on the sound of the 2nd gen 12V... lets see
chip = 400
S&B intake = 400
MBRP exhaust = 400
swamps 175/146 inj = 1700
H2E turbo kit = 2400
I/C bypass tube = 250
Built tranny/Billet TQ = 4000
adrenaline hpop = 600
fass pump = 800
reg fuel return = 600
Total = 11,550...

Those numbers arent exact, did a lot of that stuff a while back... but id say thats a close estimate

WOW!!! you have a lot into it. Why the Intercooler bypass tube??? you have a OBS?? so no no intercooler??

I think my build will be cheaper then your build..

I have less into my compounds, including the 2 50mm wast gates.. then you have into your H2E turbo kit

BUT it took me a long time to get everything lined up.. I hunted for the best deals I could find.. And I am makeing all the I/C pipe. and my air intake. I am doing must of the fabbing other then the T4 mount I got from Jake@Irate diesel..

That is why my cost is lower then yours.. AND i do not have a auto. so that is a big money saver.. Like 3000 bucks right there..

Back the cab mounts.. You are supposed to take a punch and pound out (from the top) the nuts that are part of the bushings. for the front the bolt is part of the bushings.. you are supposed to use the old bushing in the new cab mounts.. But I cant get them Out?!?!?!?

Have any of you changed cab mount?? If so what did you do to overcome this problem???? that is if you had this problem...

Thanks Guys!!!

You could've done that different and saved a lot of money IMO. I got bored this winter and started planning a build incase i somehow got rich. If i was smart about what i did, bought some used parts, and fabbed stuff myself(like fuel system) i could be in the 5-600hp range for about the same cost.

And awesome build. I wish i could help ya on the body mounts. Thankfully the PO did one thing right and had the body mounts/bushings replaced. :morons:

I was able to get the old bushings out, without cutting them. So the bushings are still good. AND the are on the pickup with the new poly mounts.

Ya it is true I could have saved money on my truck, but i did all the labor myself, and the kits make the modifications really clean and neat... instead of making my own reg fuel return, which I could have done, it is worth it to get a well made kit.

I got a couple of updates to make..

I will say this now that we are haying time has gone out the window. Now if i would never sleep, then I might have more time.. LOL

But the cows need to eat I do..

These are the two back cab mounts, with the new poly mounts and the three inch body lift.
turboandbodymounts001.jpg

center body mount with three inch lift.

front body mount with three inch lift
turboandbodymounts002.jpg

I think I might cut the Body mount down to two inches. I dont need the three inch lift. The room under the hood is nice though. I think it would sit a little more to my liking with a two inch lift then three..

Dieselsite HPOP resevor adaptor.
turboandbodymounts004.jpg

This is a nice kit dieselsite has. I like the fact that it has a screen in it like the 99.5-03 7.3L do, And that it has the ports to hook up the second HPOP, on my stealth twins. And it give you a little more oil capacity.. That is a big plus!!!

I made a mount to help hold the S4T in place.

turboandbodymounts005.jpg

turboandbodymounts006.jpg

turboandbodymounts007.jpg

turboandbodymounts008.jpg

turboandbodymounts009.jpg

And with the two housing put together with the mount
turboandbodymounts010.jpg

I still have some work to do to the mount for the S4T, I would like to add more bracing to support the wieght of the big turbo. I have a some 1/2" x 1 1/2" steel bar that I am going to make the bracing out of. So it should be suppoted good..

Now some of the turbos in AND mounted.

turboandbodymounts011.jpg

turboandbodymounts013.jpg

turboandbodymounts014.jpg

turboandbodymounts012.jpg

They mounted up just fine. Now I have to run the oil lines and make the down pipe, IC pipes, and the intermediate pipe for between the turbos. And finish bracing them a little better.

its stating to come together now. slowly, but its getting there.

Since the S4T sit above the Valve cover, Would it be OK to run the turbo oil outlet right into the valve cover?? it would only take about 6 to 8" of hose to do it..

Were would yall recomend a rought the oil feed from??

Thanks for any help I get!!!
