Well as the parts surplus builds I figured I'd start a build thread. The build won't be started until the winter weather has gone away and I can have the truck down without worries of snow falling. The truck will be seeing a single s475 spec'd as a 75/87/(0.9 or 1.0) housing with a billet wheel and race cover, mpd manifolds/up pipes, diesel dr. dual fuelers, 100% nozzles, and ported intake manifold, valvetrain upgrades of elite chromoly pushrods and hamiltion valve springs, ARP studs, as well as a an AD II most likely with an upgrade kit. Tuning will be done by eric. Still need to order the turbo and find an sct to tune on, other than that all parts are ready to go. Still up in the air on a transmission. Partially tempted to go the 4r100 route, but as of now I'm thinking I'll stick with the 5r full billet internals with either a dpc or rcd convertor. Should be a pretty solid build and put down decent power. Hoping to get a few more pulls in this summer along with running the nadm events depending on what times it puts down on the track.

Yea I'm excited for sure. It will see moderate DD use, but if the time calls it will be able to get hot and nasty so I'm really looking forward to it when it's done. Debating on adding a cam as well since the power curve will shift due to the single.

Might aswell go with the cam well it's already apart and the trans is already out.

it's a possibility. With the winter we're having so far I'm going to say it'll be a little bit until I start the build so there's a chance it'll end up in the parts pile.

when you pull yours down, you could always just have your current pistons mag'd and measured, and if they check out, just have those have the lip pulled back and coated.

that's what empire is going to do to mine, as long as the pistons check out. their idea.

97k ish i think.

i was suprised when they told me, as new pistons were on the list.

he said when they took mine out they looked real good, to the point that he said he had zero problem re-using them if they spec'd out.

i said anything that might remotely, in any way make them questionable, it gets new pistons.

he also told me, when i went up to see him and we talked about it originally, in depth, they give their stuff a 2 yr unlimited mile warranty on anything they did, so that put my mind more at ease with things as well. otherwise re-using would not have been a option to me. i would not have considered it.

sorry the derail, nine. :D

129 I would be worried with that much fuel and boost with the stock pistons. I wish you the best of luck though I think you should do them right away.

Really i would love to do them but tearing into the rotating assembly and adding coates pistons cant be budgeted into this build. I just cant wait to tear into it. It'll be a small monster for sure. Lol its crazy how this build changed. It was originally just going to be tow powers, a little fuel, and studs.
