Yea wifey tells me that every day. I tossed the idea of selling my mustangs, buying a 6.0 tow pig, and making my 6.4 a comp truck at her. Needless to say i think I found the line lol

Really i would love to do them but tearing into the rotating assembly and adding coates pistons cant be budgeted into this build. I just cant wait to tear into it. It'll be a small monster for sure. Lol its crazy how this build changed. It was originally just going to be tow powers, a little fuel, and studs.

Funny how easy things change hay bud. LOL Next thing you know, you have a fire breathing dragon. Your truck is going to be nuts man.

if you have the heads off, you shouldn't need to tear into the rotating assembly. drop the pan, remove the rod bolts, and pull the pistons out the top.

When it comes to builds on these trucks, I really think you should leave logic (do I really need x00 HP or 1xxx HP truck) and self control on the backburner.

why?? its totally possible to have a very logical truck, with lots of self control, and still have a real fun truck when its all said and done.

The heads arent coming off though. I think if i were pulling pistons I'd be tempted to go with new for piece of mind unless empire was 100% sure they'd be fine. Either way having a dd that can be a decent xonp truck on the weekend is what I'm after. I think going the single route is what ive been wanting to try as well.

Are you doing studs one at a time?

So what's everyone doing for a fuel system? I'm thinking ADII with a mpd fuel cooler delete to an elite upgrade/bowl delete. Any objections? Is it really necessary to run a regulated return?

Idk how many miles are on your truck, but after going that far into it, no way i'd do studs one at a time. After cracking a piston no way I'd leave stock ones in it either. Thats ALOT of power youd be suprised how much IH pistons are, and free labor if your doing it all yourself.

Same mileage as kelly(beans) and erics (powerstroke15) when they cracked. I only got 32k outta mine :( lol

Looking at your build list, you should've been able to afford pistons just in case instead of some other items that could've been added later.

at the time I wasn't planning on pistons and already bought the above parts, so sadly the money just isn't there at the moment. Not to mention I got fairly good deals on all my parts so far. For those prices it was a now or never kind of thing which is why the build got as big as it did lol. Out of curiosity how much is a set of IH pistons?
