Umm hell yes! I kinda chuckle every time I drive by that place. Well things are running a little behind schedule but not a big dig deal. The shop is still finishing up the install and they want to drive it a bit to test everything which is understandable. I'm about a 3 hour drive away so until hasslers is fully comfortable and happy with the install I'm not going to head down. It would be cutting it close before I go to work, so sounds like things should be a go for tomorrow evening

Lol everyone else who runs one gets going pretty decent. My truck must be the slow exception. If not time to call mpd and ask about throwing a 66mm infront of it

Running a .9 housing. Tuning with both Matt and Eric. It lights decent on some of the fairly fueled tunes but I can't get it to light off of the line at all.

What size of tires and gear ratio do you have? No doubt the 80 is gonna be sluggish. But once it lights it should hold boost until od. Having control over the od shift is the best thing from preventing it falling on its face.

35s and 3.55 I believe. It'll build up to like 3-8 driving and isn't bad but if I hit on the throttle it just doesn't want to build more boost.

from my experience with the 72 thats prob just lag of the 80. its a big turbo to spool. is it building boost after tc lock up 2500+ rpm? by then you should see 40+ boost.

Actually no. It builds boost around 2500 or so but after the tc lock up I can roll into it and build boost in 4th but nothing in OD

Holding rp fine. I think if I can get it to Eric at idp I can get it close then and find tune with Matt. Eric's tunes seem to spool it better with more fuel but it short shifts really bad. If it would hold the gears longer it'd probably be ok. Matt's tunes have good power to them but just have to find the sweet spot with the fueling and shifts

yeah if you could get matt to fuel it harder down low that would help. he sent me like 4 tunes two weeks ago where he adjusted the shifts. i had tunes that wouldnt shift until 2500rpm on light throttle, it was bit much for me to dd with. these things are so loud at that rpm range.

Ha yea I just need a fairly decent dd tune as well. Main thing is trying to keep the smoke down around here.
