I've haven't did 6.4 VCs before, but have polished rough aluminum before, and have a few buddies that are really good at it.

I'd guess 6-8hrs on each VC.

They do look sweet!

Here's a set of compressor housings I did. This was in a rush so they are not perfect, and those housings actually went through an engine fire.LOL


Main key is wet sanding them smooth, using a quality polish, some jewelers rouge, and lots of time..

A good buffer and variety of buffing pad helps to. IMO.

Just snag an extra set of covers . Start out with some 600 grit wet and work your way up to 1500 or so . Then hammer the rouge to em . You really can't mess it up .
