When I put the 3/8 steel braided line on the 3/8 barbed fitting, it didn't streatch enough, buddy took a lathe to it and made it a little smaller, but still quite snug...
When putting it on, it must have caught the edge of the rubber hose inside, and "skinned " some of the rubber off, which then got sucked cross ways over the suction hole......
