I have been running a 6466 Precision for the last few months, and have been pretty happy with it. I got it too hot for too long racing it one night and burnt up the bearings in it (totally my fault). I decided to go with the 6870 as a replacement. Picked truck up from Midwest on Friday with new turbo installed.
I am amazed at the way this turbo acts. It spools as fast as the smaller turbo, power comes on smoother, and it seems a lot stronger. Egt's are a little cooler too. Doesn't smoke any more than the 64.
At my altitude (650') It is absolutely a blast. At this point I wish I would have went with it in the first place.
It would be interesting to see the results of this thing on a built motor with injectors, like petes.
There you have it, don't waste your time with the 64! It's bad ass, but the 68 is better on all aspects IMO.
