I've got a 2001 dually that has a bad front wheel bearing. I decided to do both of them since they are original. I purchased the hub assembly/wheel bearing from Rock auto for a good price. I called the dealer to see if there were any other seals/ parts to change and they mentioned a few that I didn't see on any of the youtube videos. It doesn't look like that bad of a job but these seals got me worried as they ay need a special tool to install. They are telling me there's a seal in the knuckle when you remove the hub which is 63.67 from the dealer. Also there is some dust seal on the outside that's 28.75. They won't give me the part numbers to them so I can't see if there are any aftermarket parts. I like to do a thorough job so I figured the seals should be done. Anyone know the process of doing these two seals? I'm not talking about the yellow oring either, Any special tools needed?
