Rear Diff cover

Will those covers fit a 2000 f250 rearend? Not positive but I bielive mine is a 10.5

I think the gasket from Napa was like $11 or something, but it was like a year ago and my memory sucks.

How did you guys use a gasket with the 08 rear diff cover? It has a groove machined all the way around it for silicone to go in.

Just use silicone(specifically "The Right Stuff"). Ford meant for it to use silicone and does not even have a gasket available for those covers.

I didn't use the gasket, I ordered one, never even looked at the 08 diff honestly, bought it and it's been sitting in the parts pile since. Thanks for the heads up though, I'll take a look at it this weekend.

The 08 cover works great. Used stainless hex cap screws and lock washers. No gasket, just use black rtv. Hasn't leaked a drop. I milled about an inch of a fin off at the bottom of the cover and drilled and tapped for my temp sensor.
