Shifter issues

So I have a 2000 f350 7.3 super duty and my shift lever is pretty sloppy... checked the twos bolts at the bottom by the fire wall.... pulled column apart to check all the bushings and bolts under there..... all looked fine... what would some suggestions be on finding this issue???

Lever itself? The hole the pin goes thru gets wore out

Check the bolts that hold the piece that the shift cable attaches to the column on. They are 2 torx bolts that go in from the back side, bet they are loose. If not the cable could be stretched.

^This The roll pin that holds the arm falls halfway out. Ford has the parts.

Checked all that all was fine still can't figure it out. Truck is flashing od light as well when shifts into 3rd gear.
