Show us a cut-away of yours?

:whs:

Why not have all the vendors who are making manifolds now, either start a new thread or just add to this one w/ what makes theirs the bee's-knee's.
Pics (before-after), flow data, ability to keep the factory egr for "visual"/novel affects, pricing etc..

Can't speak for the 6.4 manifold, but EGR valve will be in place on my 6.0 Apex.

Bag-O-tools Mr. Carter...... Bag-O-tools

Who are you?? Is there a problem that I want to see how much of somebody else's design has been ripped off from mine or elite? Pat's already admitted that there are some similarities so let's see it. I will respect ANY enthusiast that takes an idea and improves on it DIFFERENTLY than somebody else and shows positive results. I have ZERO respect for somebody who alters a design available *just enough* to surpass any persecution for plagiarism.

What about someone who wants to cut one apart himself and port it himself? Would that be copying someone?

I dont care what joe blow does in his garage. People are gonna do what they want. Most people like that are just trying to save a buck on their builds, not take it to market

I understand the potential frustration, but is there a trademark or patent that has been filed for the type of porting? Or is it like a title to a movie where it is free game and can be used over and over? If everyone is so worried about being ripped off, why not patent it so that they can monopolize the market without fear or worry of someone plagiarising. Just curious.

It's like an EGR delete, there are only so many ways to do it.

Do you or anyone for that matter hold a Patent on 6.0l and 6.4l manfoild porting? (I know the answer to this)

If not you really have no leg to stand on. This is a free market. If I wanted to copy your design to a T and sell it for 100 dollars less then you. There is nothing stopping me from doing so. Beside bad business ethics but some could say you copied dougs design after all he was the first one to cut a manifold apart ;).

Just relaze take a deep breath you build a dam nice manifold. Win you customers with good customer service, word of mouth is everything in when your running a business.

Patent cost 10k+ to get and then you still have legal fees if your going to contest them if you think someone copying your ideas. Hardly worth it on a 1k manifold.

And do you remember why I would not post pics of the interior work? I presume you did see the finished products on here as well?

Well said. Everyone copies everyone to a degree. How you treat your customers is what moves units. Unless.you are talking about that sexy ZZ Fab 6.4 manifold. That is custom as they come. I think people would attack Steve less.if he came off.a.little.more easy going

Nope. Hard to patent a part that's already patented. There are ways aroun it of course but it hardly worth the money and time for such a minuscule market. However, you did say it best, it's bad business ethics to plagiarize. It takes a really special piece of garbage to copy somebody else and claim it as their own. Whether you or anybody see's it that way is up in the air. I just know that I won't tarnish my good name to be such a vile, low character person of that nature. It's pretty clear that there won't be pictures of even just the exterior of these manifolds wont be posted and it's also clear that those of us who make them can expect to see our hardwork, r&d, and designs copied. Not as flattering as one would expect it to be lol.

Thanks for the compliment on our product btw:D
