Just got my streetmax Turbo kit. Planning on doing it myself, hopefully cab on. Has anyone done this at home? Got any tips? Looks pretty straight forward. Pull wheel liner, undo downpipe, remove intake manifold, turbo, repeat backwards?

I can pull the cab if needed my hoist is too small for my truck, but with some creativity I could squeeze it through and use it on the cab if needed.

Zero reason to pull cab. Air hammer with long bit. Beer. Curse words.

What the gell do I need that for? Braking the turbo loose?
EDIT: isn't beer and curse words standard procedure for any project?

the air hammer is not totally necessary, a long striking prybar and hammer works just fine.

Spray them with PB blaster and theyll come right off.

If I can get this done, anyone can LOL

The only thing part where it really helps to have 2 sets of hands is reinstalling the downpipe.

Sounds like an average night at the shop when we're working on our trucks.

PB Blaster is a definite on the bolts. I soaked my EGR bolts for 2 weeks prior to us ******** it and they all came out no problem.

I did a 15 turbo kit on a 2011 that was already deelleeted. No cussing involved. No need to remove the fender liner either. Just work from the front to the back. And then from the back to the front.
