I ended up getting a 366sxe with a 1.0 paired with my 238/100s. Its a real good running setup. I was just a little afraid of being under the 369 too often to tow with it. In hindsight it probably doesnt make much difference. Same exducer diameter on the compressor wheel, and exact same turbine. But I just wanted to be safe. D@mn good running turbo though, I think youll have no problem. I need to get another gauge to measure back pressure, but as good as the truck runs, I have this feeling its not an issue.

Yup almost the same turbo just a larger compressor inducer. It's overkill really for what I'm doing. The S366sxe would be plenty for what I plan for but I'm running the blower so I wasn't too concerned with lag. I still plan to experiment with spinning the blower harder.

Will you be able to remove the down pipe? May need to burn in another V band where that 90 meets the old DP..

I finished the downpipe and yes I can. It's only a 3" down pipe I may try to build a larger 3.5" or 4" down pipe later. I chopped up and reused the 3" down pipe for the stock turbo. I reused the slip fit design. I fought getting the downpipe setup as it's hard to cut and align and tack a down pipe with the engine in place. I looked to try and massage the firewall without beating it to death. I planned to anchor the wall and use a come along to pull the firewall. After checking the firewall and finding a huge crack from when the previous owner beat on the firewall. I then pulled out the 4" hole saw and punch a small hole to clearance the pipe. Now the down pipe rotates and drops right in.

I need to finish connecting down pipe to exhaust and I started on the intake spider and reinstalled the blower.

At least you've got the maneuverability down now so that you can direct that turbine outlet toward the big first stage turbo later when you get bored with that noise maker and want to make some power!

Compounds will make power so early you can punch the rods through the sides of the block at 1700rpm if that's the goal. My 38R pulled straight through the trans at 1800rpm pulling an 11000lb skid-steer week before last with the trans line pressure maxed.

Point that "downpipe" forward and tie it into a GT55! Put that blower on the front bumper of your local volunteer fire department truck!

Naw I like the blower. I still have a lot to upgrade after all this. Like larger plenums, rerouting intake plumbing to intercool after stages, studs & springs etc, fuel system. Started on the spider to get it back on the road.

Sounds good. Now time to go beat on it !

I bought a nice dual pointered boost gauge from Hewitt, and the 66sxe with a 1.0 is 1:1 up to 40-42 psi of boost. I'm excited to see how this works for you when you start working it!

3.55 and 255/85/16s. In those videos I was using about 80% throttle or so. In that tune at a steady 70mph/2K rpms I see 10psi unloaded on level highway and 600° on the Pyro.

I had been unable to spool the S369 since it has been installed. The gauge was only registering what the blower was putting out (10 psi) and I never heard the bypass open like the stock turbo would. I figured it's likely the 1.0 housing and a tune that has limited PW. After playing around in the factory calibration I found that the turbo spools crazy fast as I easily saw over 25psi and you can hear it when the bypass opens up. After playing with tuning I found that the issue was too far advanced timing. My base tune with the stock SOI map thrown in spools the turbo with ease. I need to light the fire under my heals and install more fuel pump and studs might be a good idea this next year. Also not that it's necessary but when it releases I will likely upgrade to Eatons new rotor pack from my 2300 to the 2650. It was shown off at Sema. Once VMP releases a Bolt on unit more displacement with higher efficiency is the name of the game.

Glad.to hear you're getting it figured out. I was getting concerned when I read your inability to spool it, as fast as my 66 some stuff up!

Put the fuel to it and let the turbo cram air into the blower not the other way around.

I'll be trying to increase fuel soon now that I figured out how to get the 369 to spool. The reduced timing made it pull harder, drive smoother, it's quiter, and it's not grinding syncros so badly and I haven't dumped the Redline MTL in the Trans yet. It's also starts faster. I'll be toying with SOI to get it right. The 369 spools pretty good.
