or at least find a good used trans somewhere. Youd be surprised how easily they can be found for under a grand with decently low miles.

If mine goes ill buy a used one then have a core, just going to figure out the best way to do have it done, not a whole lot of west coast shops that I know of

Tear it out yourself, thats my plan. Sure it isnt fun but somebody has to do it. A good floor jack and a buddy or two and its pretty straight forward.

I plan on swapping it myself. Im looking for somewhere close because shipping and core charges can be nearly $2000 on top of a $5000 trans. I would rebuild it myself, but haven't heard of many doing it, or great success when doing so. I am more looking for a shop to rebuild it once I get everything to do it.
