That was the plan, but a page or two back I posted that I actually got the dealership issue resolved, they cut the bill by over 50%... so I'm letting them actually finish it up, of course now I'm playing the waiting game! As soon as it I get it back, it's still going to my buddies house for studs/gaskest all that nonsense.

Ahh, I see that now. But like you said, when they decide to get to it.....BS!

Fogs are still sitting in a box right next to the studs/gaskets and all that other nonsense lol. I did get the headlight switch, but now I need the wiring harness (can't get a P/N for that) and not sure what I need for bulbs/sockets. I cant tell if the bulbs just clip into the back of what I have, or if there is more missing there...

PN for the harness is 5C3Z15A211BA. The bulbs I have in my lights are OEM Sylvania 9145 / H10 bulbs.

Awesome! Thanks!

I hard wired my hid fog ballasts into my parking light hot wires.

Worked just fine...

I'm too anal for that haha, gotta have that factory look to it. Already ordered the motorcraft headlight switch to operate the fogs, got the fog housings, just need the wiring harness, which isn't too bad actually... looks like it's under $30.

Par for the course at this point. I can recall only two or three times it went to a dealer and I got it back in under a month. One time was an injector replacement, that was really quick, like 3 days. The other time was a transmission, they put a reman in and I had it back in 2 weeks or so. Every other time it's been a month or more, as long as two months. One time it was there for over a month and all they did was clean the EGR valve, and still charged me the $100 deductible for warranty work...

I'm so glad I bought my TDI a few months ago, I'd be up the creek without a paddle right now.

People wonder why I drink so much....haha

Holy crap it's done! I forgot what it's like to drive it... going to be weird coming from DD'ing the TDI every day to the truck again...

Good stuff, hopefully she stays running this time.

I'm going to pull this pig right back apart... cab off time for studs etc... this whole ordeal was extremely inconvenient.

I'll tell you what though, it's quite a difference coming from a 90 crank horsepower TDI back to the truck again... even the stock tune on the truck would outrun this thing, that's pathetic!

Lol well it's going back under for wanted things not needed so that's a different story. I try to drive my gti as much as I can but with the place I work at I don't like taking it to work. Nothing beats having the truck though except that gas mileage. Lol

Exactly! My TDI is saving me about $500 a month in fuel right now lol.

Took the truck to a local diesel club GTG today, nice to drive it again. Here it is next to a buddys compound LMM. S475 over a stocker... Sweet truck.

Taking it apart on my break between x-mas and new years... so in a few weeks here.

I'm not even going to try running pace with him. I'm a stock 6.0 with programming and 35's... he's a compound turbo LMM on small tires, he'd rape me.

I am running 35's on stockers yes. 35x12.5x17, 2.5" leveling kit up front, F350 blocks out back. Love the stance.
