My vacuum pump was leaking and also my front cover. I tore it down and replaced all the seals on the cover. Got it back together and was still leaking but only from the vacuum pump now. So I again tore it down and found that the bolt closest to the little red seal and screen on the pump was not seated right. So again fixed that and started it up. Ran for a minute then yet again started leaking from pump. So for the 3rd time took off the pump.
So here is my question, is the pump suppose to have a large quantity of oil in the cover side? Seems to me something is wrong with it being a pressure part with maybe a little bit of oil residue for friction sake.
My truck is a 2012 F250 6.7L w/107K miles now.
