What brand studs and gaskets?

I am going to be doing a head stud install soon on my 08 6.4. What brand studs does everyone recommend? Should I invest in OEM head gaskets or look at aftermarket? What other gaskets will I be needing seeing as I will be doing this myself. Even if the heads look good, should I have them milled just to be safe?

OEM gaskets and ARP studs are what we use. work great. defineatley get the heads checked and machined. I can get you prices on studs and gaskets if you'd like.

haven't done the studs and gaskets yet on mine so I'm no real help there, but on the heads id have them checked just to make sure. Last thing you want is to get it all back together and find out that they were damaged and have to take it back apart.

Arp headstuds and stock OEM gaskets. I would have the heads checked for cracks and flatness. U don't want to have to do gaskets twice.

Definitely arps I've had mine in for 10k + running 100 psi and beating the hell out of it

I was told last week by a vendor that they do not recommend retorquing arp's if heads have to come off for whatever reason.. how many people have done this? have their been many failures doing this and if so what torque spec are they failing?

mine are on their third, APR says up to 5-6 and then they should be thrown away.
