Could possibly throw a CEL, bout 5 years ago I put on my AFE without a tuner and it threw a cel, but like the post above said, it can do nothing but let your engine breathe better

I forgot to even ask the question...

Should I be putting a CAI on w/out having a tune/tuner on the truck? I should be getting one in a few months once the OT starts to roll up. Didnt even think about this being an issue or not... :fustrate:

not only that but deleteing the CCV is huge. you keep a TON of oily mess out of your turbos and plumbing.

This thread is old, but i just recieved my no limits intake a few days ago and the only appropriate word is WOW! Great job Mike! This thing is great. I havn't dynoed this yet but there is a definate differance already! I had a S&B and am going to sell it soon. I just wish i had found more info on cai's before i wasted my money on the S&B. You might not pull in the minder with the S&B but thanks to Wayne we all know why. The restriction is at the elbow by the turbo! Here is the link again to Wayne's tests for anybody who is considering buying a new cai. http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=23958

Another vote for No Limit. Just got in 4 days ago and love it! The fitnent is second to none, the Elite elbow is an awesome upgrade and deletes the CCv at the same time.... And the sounds coming from the turbos now are mean!

No limit is much more expandable than most intakes, if you grow it grows with you with little or no modification.

No limit gets my vote

Honestly i wish this was a sticky for everybody who was looking for info like i was. It would have saved me $280. But i dont know if that is frowned upon since Mike is a single vendor. But his product out performes everything else.

I also made the mistake of buying an Afe intake with aftermarket turbos. I'm not knocking the fitment or quality of Afe... But it simply didn't flow enough air and constantly pulled in the filter minder. Now, I can't pull the filter minder with the No Limit intake making more boost than I previously was. 51+ PSI and the minder doesn't budge and you can really feel the throttle response down low and in around town now with the No Limit kit. Hands down the best intake available for the 6.4.

I just put one on my truck and yes it does make a noticeable difference.

You can call mike directly for the intake. When he gets caught up he will hopefully let his dealers sell them too. Then I can place a big order!

He has been selling them like hotcakes for a good reason, they work!

I've had great luck with my S&B and would recommend it to anyone with a mild truck. Since I ordered a 72mm, I also ordered the AFE stage 2 with Elite upgrade elbow.

:whs:

I have an AFE stage Elite. I really like it. I also like the No Limit, just not running one currently.
