voltage is showing ~14 while driving. the alternator is weak for sure and the batteries show all signs of being crap too so those are on the list.

hpop is a T500. its a little small but should still work fine. Future plans include twins of some sort

Havent checked compression yet but there is quite a bit of blowby of blowby coming out the CCV. I'll have to check it, Im curious how my 02 is as well.

I was thinking of selling my 02 and picking up something newer 08+ but decided against it so that money could go towards some stuff for the 53. I wouldnt mind a nice beefy shortblock....

These things need over 14 volts while driving?

Just 10.5 is required. It wont really start charging til ~1700 and at idle itll start dropping pretty quick since its so weak. new alt came in the mail today which is crazy because I just ordered it on tuesday. New batteries are on the list for this weekend too

seemed to be happy today when i took her out. pulls HARD! power to weight ratio feels much better with the IC pipe hooked back up haha. got a new battery for my laptop so i can log some data with AE now. I think the air might be out of the HPO rails now cause it starts a hell of a lot better too

So where is it?

Are you sure it wasn't full?

It was full, I can only assume it burnt it because its not in the oil and I dont think it can fit its oil plus 3+ gals of coolant. going to re torque the studs again and see if that will help. also going to test compression and pressurize the cooling system and check everything as well. could be a cracked head as well, only seems to be an issue when its real hot. It starts pretty good now but runs like crap (and starts worse) when it gets hot

I'm figuring the ABSOLUTE WORST that can happen is that i do actually mess up the motor and then i need a new longblock but thats pretty much in the future anyways. It's still frustrating though. im just hoping the studs need another torque down because pulling heads to swap or do inj. cups isnt too easy on this thing

I don't know much about diagnosing a massive coolant leak on these, but could inj orings cause coolant in the fuel?

Only wetness was from spilled coolant when trying to bleed it all out. Had 8 gallons in and had it running hi idle for about an hour on a hill to bleed any air out. No white smoke really. A tiny puff at startup sometimes but nothing crazy. Gotta find a coolant pressure tester, anyone have suggestions? I thought I came across a place where someone sold one and had a compression tester available as well but I can't remember where. I have enough fords/powerstrokes around its worth getting the tools
