MPD budget single turbo kit reviews?

You can make more power with the single 66 and tuning to adjust for the single than the stock turbos. Plus the CFM of the singles ( depending on brand and wheel ) is higher than the stock compounds. In the end its up to what your trying to accomplish, each set ups has its pluses and minuses. If you tow I'd stick with the compound set up, if towing isn't a concern and your more after a street toy then the single is a good choice.

If you are after big power on the cheap, I'd say it's the way to go. For less than 2k you can have 900hp worth of air with a box stock s475 and their new mount.

With extra fuel. Having 900hp worth of air is like Dmitri saying he makes 1800hp and only does high to mid 9's in a RCLB

Yes you would also need the added fuel. I was gonna type that out, but got lazy.

Everyone keeps saying a 66 or S475... Are there high end turbos that would make running a single bareable??

As in BB, Billet wheels, ect ect.... I mean what BADASS turbos are there for single kits that would really shine compared to some of the "budget" turbos?

I have the S467FMW but it is still is nothing like the stock twins. It drives fine though and I'm happy with it. Has more of a 6.0 feel in regards to lag. I feel i'm a little overfueled and could probably step the nozzles back a bit and then it'd be great on the street. That's my only issue as far as streetability for me.

Won't have any feedback on towing with it though since I have no plans for that.

There are. Tadd tested Precision's 475 equivalent last year against a batmo 475 with a race cover. The precision charger was BB and billet and put right around 30 peak horse on the batmo, and at 4,000 rpms it maintained 100more hp than the batmo charger. It came on and spooled faster as well.

There are a lot of options from lots of companies claiming to be the best. Precision https://www.elitedieselengineering.com/category/4446/Precision-Turbos/1.html makes some of the best turbos you can buy IMO. They aren't cheap though. If you have a T4 mounting flange, like in this kit, you just need to pick the right size turbo to meet your needs. Rudy's pulling truck is running a single precision, as are many of the top dogs in the pulling world. I'm sure these kits MPD has will already work with, or be easily modified to work with most turbos with a T4 flange, but I can't say for sure as I don't have one, nor have I ever installed one.

I wish you guys would have tried some other s475s rather than just the batmo. I've never had much faith in them myself. It's still awesome that you guys did do some testing though.

I thought one of Rudy's guys said it was a custom E.D. charger? Or by E.D. did they mean Elite Diesel?

Sweet I'm going with the cp3 and 100% probably in july. But ill have the fuel pulled back on the street. How are your egts going up an incline? Does the fuel keep the turbo spooled up or you have to build some heat before you get going?

EGT's are around 1100 on inclines. If cruising at 65 mph it's damn near impossible to pass anyone on an incline without blacking out the highway. Takes some time to spool. Thats with Eric's Xtreme street. But I'm also dealing with some rail pressure surging issues when the converter locks so my highway experience is somewhat incomplete. I couldn't imagine daily driving with 100% nozzles...

About 75hp on the dyno that i know of. Plus I have the ability to step up to compounds, bigger single, nitrous, etc. I doubt ill ever run it with a 2.2+ pw unless dyno or track

Your not running a single tune yet?! Contact eric ASAP and tell him you won't the OD off with tow/haul. His single tuning/trans strategy for a single is AWESOME

It is a single tune. Just based off his xtreme street. My problem with the T/H button shutting off OD is that's where I get the worst surging. Undrivable. I've been back and forth with Eric about it but it hasn't been remedied yet.
