I agree the billets are holding at that power. I keep seeing a trend of Swamps tuning with blown motors. I am not sure if it is the tuning or something else. I know that many other factors come into play but most like to blame the tuning. Jody

I agree. Been there and done that after a turbo let go on the dyno. I am still reminded of that every time I talk to the Dodge owner. Jody

I see a trend here. Sorry for your misfortune. Time to look at what really caused the failure. I have a PMR motor on the stand available. Jody

Infinity chip switching testing is a success!

Formula... This is just simple math like 100/5= 20. This is what I used for the 0-100 psi fuel pressure sensor. Nothing is limited since you can enter your own formula. Any sensor that supports 0-5V can be used once you figure out the correct formula and enter it. Jody

    250* coolant temps

Mine with the 195 ran 220 coolant and now with the 180 it runs 199-203.

    HID's shut off truck

Unlike most rotary knob style switchers our EX and Gauge style switcher is equipped with a microprocessor. A rotary knob style switch is designed for a pin to be grounded in order for the chip to determine what position to be in. The EX and Gauge style switcher from Moates.net design is an...

    machine shop for 7.3

The guy I use thinks the stock tolerances are way too much and he believes in making everything much tighter. Look for computerized balance equipment, CNC machines, etc. The computerized equipment will allow much more precise tolerances. I only trust him to verify the bores etc.

    250* coolant temps

The oil temps are related to coolant temp. Look at the oil cooler and you will see that the coolant is what determines the oil temp.

    ceramic coating exhaust housings?

    Outside is what I did.

    250* coolant temps

Ok and Jeoy is the one selling the 180 degree thermostat and he is the one I got mine from. He will tell you that the lower coolant/oil temps are key. My Excursion idled like crap with the 203 degree thermostat and when I switched it over it idled perfectly.

    250* coolant temps

I prefer to see 180-201 and that is what I see in my Excursion with the 180 degree thermostat.

    machine shop for 7.3

Maybe if they really know how to put together a good motor. I have seen way too many cheap builds that are way worse than stock. Go to the machine shop and have them show you the equipment they use to measure, balance, & verify the parts. Also make sure they are VERY clean and organized in...

    250* coolant temps

The EOT should be correct. The oil temp is key because of the HEUI injectors.

    Vgt turbo'd 7.3

I have a number of customers running them. I have not live tuned on one but they seem to love the setup. Jody

    ceramic coating exhaust housings?

I am not sure on the actual HP gains but I did notice quicker turbo spool-up with my ceramic coated exhaust housings, up-pipes, and turbo exhaust housing. Jody

Ported heads? And DD high HP?

Head work is good but make sure they also have custom valves made and a CAM to work with the ported heads. Everything need s to be designed to work together. Jody

    250* coolant temps

Sorry missed the last question. WAY too hot oil temps are an issue with the too hot coolant temps.

    250* coolant temps

The 203 thermostat is actually 250 coolant with an actual gauge. WAY too hot. My 180 runs 199-203.

Most have no idea about how to machine and build it properly. You get what you pay for. Make sure everything is balanced and all tolerances are checked. Never trust new parts or reman parts without them getting checked. correctly. For example I had a friend buy reman Ford rods and 5 of them...
