Engine not coming up to temp

I am assuming this is a 6.0. Get a thermostat from International, for some reason they seem to be more reliable than the Ford OEM. Also as someone else said pull the stat and check it on the stove with a thermometer and you will know it it is good or bad.

    04 6.0 Deltas GURU's

unless the all aluminum radiator had less actual volume in the core it should cool as well as the OEM. That said I seem to remember that some of the early Mishimoto's did run hotter than OEM. I had a Alradco, actually 3 that ran about 20 degrees cooler than stock when towing, they just...

Help me decide between two trucks

With 5000#'s of pin I think you would be over on payload on a SRW. The F450 might not be as fancy but would probably handle your trailer better.

The wide track is wider giving more clearance from tire to the springs allowing a tighter turn.

    AlRadCo radiators

Has anyone had any luck contacting AlRadCo in the last 2 weeks? Their website is "down for maintenance" and they have not returned any phone calls. Almost seems like they have closed their doors, I hope not.

Customer service and product both top notch

Customer service is not doing so good right now, 3rd radiator in 6 months is leaking again and they have not answered their phone or returned calls in about 2 weeks and have not responded to e-mails as well. Now the website is "down for maintenance". Don't know what is happening but I need my...

    Warranteed replacement radiator

The service I have received in the past was OK but somewhat slow, now 3rd radiator in 6 months is leaking again, none of the 3 fit like they should. I have talked to Peter about this and now they have not answered their phone or e-mail, or returned calls for 2 weeks and now the web site is...

Opinion on permatex high tack for cooler gaskets

You shouln't need it on any o'ring type gasket/seal. On flat type gaskets it works well, maybe too well when and if you have to take it apart, I use a medium or low tack normally unless it is on something that I have had a problem with gasket creep.

coolant level after filtration system is added

The coolant filter has nothing to do with the level on the bottle, that doesn't change, you still need to fill to at least minimum.

I have a Titan on mine and it has been flawless. It supposedly has the fastest response time, I notice NO lag on mine.

    Warranteed replacement radiator

I know this post is a little old, but have you contacted them again? They are a small company and I think they get overwelmed at times. I have had to call them a few times and they do finally get back to me and are good at actually handling the problem.

    05 turbo in 03 truck

You just need to change the intake to a non crossover style and use the newer pedistal, everything else is fine, including the HPOP cover.

03 dying problems before 4,000 mile round trip

If you do not have a set of OBD2 gauges like a ScanGauge2 or other reader you need one to monitor several computer/ engine parameters like HPOP, FICM voltage, ICP oil and coolant temp and others, as well as any trouble codes. Then you can to properly diagnose your problems. Other wise you and...

When to fire ring the heads....

Real fire ringing can be heads or block or both and will handle much more cylinder pressure. However most shops do not recommend fire rings on a daily driver. O-ringing is generally enough on a DD. And cheaper.

A More Durable Degas: Mishimoto’s 6.0L Aluminum Degas Bottle R&D

I like the sight glass versus the exterior tube. Also at least 1, 1/2"FPT bung would be nice for those of use that are returning coolant directly from the oil cooler rather than a tee in the heater line.
