This is not correct. No offense, but this is a normal misconception. The purpose of an EGR system is to recirculate exhaust gas (as the name implies), but not to "burn off soot." Running exhaust gas back into the intake displaces incoming oxygen and leads to cooler combustion temperatures...

But should it bleed off pressure when I blow shop air through the ICP hole? I have done a couple of these and never had anything come out of there.

Hey, 6.0 cranks/no-start. 7 PSI on ICP while cranking. IPR screen has a giant hole in it, and it looks like someone replaced the STC fitting and left the alignment tool in place when they put it back in. Oil is coming from some kind of plug on the back of the pump. I'm going to pull it out...

Tow/Haul downshifts more quickly so that you get an engine braking effect. I use it when towing my camper sometimes, and sometimes normal.
