Gorgeous truck.. I agree with the stock wheels, or I think the 08-10 Harley 20s would look killer on it

Black powder coated factory wheels maybe? Maybe run them with a small spacer .. Either way the truck is Freakin Gorgeous man, hell of a nice ride. Probably one of my Favorite colors if not The favorite!

Love the powder coated intake btw! Wish all my stuff was that color instead of blue, will happen one of these days when I have to go back under the hood.

An Just food for thought here, but have you considered studding it one at a time it while you have it tore down that far? I was contemplating it on my black truck an done a little research, it seemed like a viable option. If you done compression check and hg were good then it may ok. Again idk from personal experience on this but did read an actually talked to ppl that had done it and turned out good.

Thanks for all the compliments guys. Cosmetics will be last thing to happen on the truck. She is gorgeous as she sits so no rush for me at all on that end. Need to the motor and suspension to be where I want before I blow thousands on wheels and rubber.

I know guys that have done studs one at a time with success too...just not for me. Fully expecting a HG failure at some point but hopefully this will buy me a year or two. If it all works out when the HG goes - by that time I will have money saved to do a full build. For now I am just doing all the preventative/support upgrades and hope for the best.

More progress today. Rebuilt and cleaned oil cooler and installed upgraded STC fitting - re-installed HPOP. Cooler is on hold til the fitting arrives from summit. Going to Ford this week for updated dummy plugs and tubes. Waiting on my buddy to send up the injector connectors. Still have to take apart driver side for the updates but got sick of disassembly and wanted to put something back in the truck lol. :fordoval:

Thanks Mark for all your help. Along with several other guys who have been more than supportive with my novice questions around what I am sure are considered very basic modifications. My trucks before now have always been my daily driver so I never could afford to have down time which meant the truck always went into the shop. I am really enjoying working on the truck myself and becoming more familiar with all the systems and how everything comes together. As I have been removing items I have been reading through and studying up on how exactly they function - another reason I ordered the manuals. Nice to be able to take your time and really do things right, clean everything up, search the web for custom parts even down to fancy fittings and clamps...all stuff you cannot enjoy doing when someone else performs the work!

I just saw this exact truck, except not literally this one, on my way to work today. 6.0 Harley the blue of this truck, everything. It looked amazing. Now I see why you guys like this color so much.

Depends on your definition of cheap...compared to the 70k price tags new diesels come with loaded like this one...I would say it was cheap. Compare it to the rest of the market for 6.0 trucks and of course it is on the higher end...it didn't have a spot of rust and was stored in a heated garage with only 37k miles. It is hard to find any 6.0 with such low miles so there is not much to compare to. Price tag new was over 50k. I do not like to post what I pay on the public forum - if you are in the market and want a comparison I will be happy to send it over PM to anyone. I will say this I got it at what I consider to be a very fair price for the condition of the truck.

Installed the Street Diesel Performance EGR delete pipe last night. Will get pics up soon. All I have to say is this thing fits mint. Bolted her to the y-pipe up top got under the truck and it was literally already seated on the exhaust manifold. They also upgrade the hardware to 13mm hardware which was much nicer to deal with now and I am sure in the future if the pipe ever needs to come off. For those of you who do not know them, they are a vendor on this site - Tyler is on here and has posted in this thread - user name is Tyler@streetdieselperformance. I have also met the owner and seen the trucks they build for SEMA. Great folks and they have gone above and beyond for me as well as a couple friends in the area. Highly recommend their stuff - they have products for all Ford platforms 7.3 - 6.7

Made some progress over the week / weekend. Re-pinned injectors with replacement connectors. Updated stand pipe and dummy plug. VCs back on. Installed sending unit in oil cooler at the test port for oil pressure. Installed oil cooler. Installed my own CCV re-route. Manifold is on and is gorgeous. Pics speak for themselves. Absolute coolant filter installed and waiting on the revised fitting for the delta line kit. Should have it back together mid week. Nate and Steve have both been awesome and I would highly recommend anyone to use their products. All top quality and super nice guys.

Try to clean everything pretty well as I go - engine bay with valve covers back on

Manifold packing was very nice

All hardware was great - even came with these nice seal washers for the rear two bolts which re-used stock manifold bolts

Manifold installed without any troubles. Everything lined up perfect. Threads were clean - sat nice and level - zero warping.

With hardware installed - all buttoned up

Oil and fuel filter housing back on - sucks the manifold will end up being hidden

More done tonight. Injector Harness and wiring all back together. Turbo back on. FICM mounted. Finished the Absolute Performance delta line kit including the revised oil cooler fitting. What a game changer that new fitting is! Jason @ G Racing really hooked me up - shipped it priority mail along with the barb custom ordered from Summit.

Revised oil cooler fitting:
