Well... trucks leaking fuel somewhere and I haven't dug completely into it yet but it's enough to make me worried. It scared the **** outta me because I parked on asphalt and the fuel ate through the binding agent for the asphalt and made it turn black like oil... I guess that's a positive that it's just fuel.

I took some pictures before I dig into this thing tomorrow, well today since it's already 4:30am, to see if anyone has some ideas what to check first.

Passenger side valve cover. Fuel puddle up in the depression for the bolt. The only part wet from fuel is from the EGR plate forward and down the front of the motor. Top and left side of the motor are dry.

Top of the CP3 has fuel on it.

Top of the CP3... not sure if hose clamp wrapped in electrical tape is the issue or not?

Fuel dripping off the bottom of the motor

Droplets of fuel accumulated on the bolts under the motor.

Driver side of the motor. Fuel regulator pressure guage is leaking very slowly not enough to create a puddle though. Also not sure if there's supposed to be something on that barb.

Right below the fuel regulator... hose clamp and electrical tape. Tapes being eaten away by the diesel fuel.

And I found why my waste gate wasn't working...

Gotta love diesel fuel. I'm fighting a high pressure mist leak myself right now. I feel your pain. On the bright side, my undercarriage is squeaky clean

Props to Tadd for giving me a shout and giving me some good info. Checked all the fuel pressure for the tunes at idle, WOT, etc and tuning is exactly on point for what he calls for. I didn't even ask him he just started helping. So kudos to Tadd. Might pull back some fuel on the low end but as it sits right now the truck runs so good I might leave it how it is.

Took it out and beat on it a little. Still no fuel leak like it did yesterday. Valve cover is dry and no puddles under the truck.

Took some time last night and today to reroute some lines for the EGR, fuel regulator, and EAS harness. Cleaned up the look a little bit.

That's sweet that Tadd was able to help you. The engine bay is looking clean also.
Yessir.

Thanks. Next step is to get some hose and reroute that coolant line that goes to the tank that just lays on top of the piping. Should be a real easy fix that'll make a huge difference.

Mmhmm... knew it. Now to see where exactly on the cp3 it's coming from. Hopefully it's just a loose hose and not the seal on the cp3

Are you sure it's not line line under the nut on the high pressure line? I had one line that had a small crack right at the flair. Only leaked at high pressure above half throttle.

If the factory fuel pump is supplying pressure to it it could pop the seal I had to put a designated low pressure on mine

FYI for anyone using the K&P oil filter on the 6.7s they do use the adapter that comes with it. Without the adapter on it threads all the way on and is loose. It would be common sense for most of us to catch this but just giving you a heads up.
