it needed a bed, scored a brand new one for $300

planning on going with 05+ axles/suspension

started cleaning up the rear frame while the bed is off

got it all cleaned up and coated with SEM rust seal (simillar to POR15)

Nice project. Seems like ones like this always end up taking longer then expected. Main thing of course is to get everything you want done in it before it goes back together. I hate tearing **** apart twice:doh:. On the tank the gas fuel pump mounts to the bottom of the tank in a plastic circle made into the tank. You can modify it to work by cutting that out of the bottom, but if there is nothing wrong with the your other tank I would just use it. Hope it helps.

Nice project! I am working on a similar project with my 350. Got it all stripped down, but started on the 450 so it has been sitting just waiting.

What kind if sound deadening did you use?

Also any more info on the paint you used for the frame? I am hoping to get mine sand blasted in next couple of weeks.

sound deadening is a combo -
-RaamMat, PhatMat that some buddies had left over was used on the firewall, front floors, roof, and large square inside the doors.
-A sheet of some dual layer foam/dense rubber mat was added to the firewall over the butyl materials.
- then for the rear floors and back of cab I cheaped out and got a roll of the peel and stick roofing stuff from HD. (its surprisingly close to the PhatMat in consistancy and weight)

I still plan on covering everything over in a dense closed cell matting.

I can get more info on the rust coating next time im at my shop. but its made by SEM

and spent some time (that should have been spent on something more important)cutting up the headliner to install the 08 over head console. (still needs a little trimming to clear the sun visors, and then dye to match)
