We have been and will be testing our ported intake. Probably on stock chargers and then most likely when we get to the Tow-Power + setup (Billet 59 and 72mm) we will test it again.

It would be invalid. We will start the testing over again. Starting with just a stock set of chargers, then add batmo's, then the 71, 71 batmo, 71 K31, 71 Batmo K31, then 72, etc, etc. We aren't testing just power, but spool up, egt's, empty and towing.

Is there a difference between the 71 batmo and the 71 k31 batmo?

Yes,

The dimensions are:

71 Batmowheel Tow-Power Replacement
(2.795”) 71mm Inducer
(3.740”) 95mm Exducer (3.865”) 98.17mm Extended Tip

71 Batmowheel K31 Replacement
(2.793”) 70.94mm Inducer
(4.030”) 102.36mm Exducer (4.160”) 106.66mm Extended Tip

Obvious difference is the exducer is much larger on the K31 Batmo.

We tested the 71 Tow-Power Batmowheel this time. I bet the K31 batmo makes less power than the Tow-Power 71 batmo.

These results didn't surprise me either. Precision and EDE is top of the line. The only thing I've ever gained from both of my batmowheel chargers is shaft play.

Wow that is crazy. Everyone else seems to love them, I don't know how that could happen. :slap:

There seems to be a trend of running comparably huge injectors with non-huge turbo(s) to achieve peak power, but by doing this, you either run nitrous or black out the sky. This mentality works good at sled pulls and drag racing, where you cram in more, and more fuel until you stop gaining power because of limited turbo size, or finish off the remainig fuel with the bottle. If you run larger than recommended injectors I hope you have a wastegate (YES, I SAID WASTEGATE) to keep back pressure in check. be prepared to deal with excessive heat, and all that goes with it. for the 72, I'm sure anything over 60 hp nozzles is overdoing it unless you are cutting back pulse width. The best thing I can recommend is to get feedback from anyone who has tried these setups.

Best rule of thumb for current proven setups & widely available tuning I can recommend on a 6.4 is something like this:

Guys that tow heavy on a regular basis: stock size injectors, use more turbo if you want more power. Efficient setups run very cool, and can be as strong as 740ish rwhp. -more than enough for a guy who depends on his truck for work day-in, and day-out. There will probably be more power on tap than your oil cooler, and possibly your radiator can keep up with running hard at these power levels.

Daily driver with occasional towing: Keep it conservative, such as 60 hp nozzles with tow-powers, 85's with high powers, 110's with max powers. If you run turbos beyond the max power compound size, I'm guessing you don't tow much anyway, so whatever

Weekend warrior with occasional track use: Go ahead with a bit larger injector than the daily driver crowd, but cut the pulse width back when you don't want to watch your EGT's like a hawk.

There always seem to be exceptions to the rule, but I'll call the above list a beginner's guideline. Just make sure you have enough fuel supply and injection pump to maintain desired rail pressure, or power will fall off without spray to compensate.

seems like ill stick with plans to go with the 76mm atmo. Are you guys selling just the 59mm VGT billet wheel? i already have tow power's, would this be a direct swap in?

We don't offer direct bolt in wheels unless it's a batmo, and then we won't do the work with a turbo warranty unless it's balanced at the same time. We've put some batmowheels in for testing, and every time they're off balance to the point we wouldn't be comfortable running them without doing it right. I'm sure you could send in your VGT, and we could go through it for you, and upgrade the wheel at the same time. You'll have to call the sales guys for a price though.
