I also heard Brian only builds it one way. I guess I'm wrong in thinking he builds them different?

its been said already.... only, thing different is how the valve body is set to hold the power you ask... weather its 300hp or 1000hp... its all the same except how the valve body is set... its even the same valve body, just set different.

so you have had a BTS apart to see exactly what is in it or are you speaking from faith?

holy fugin **** man! they are the same.. only thing that would ever be different is if you had an older bts with different shafts... hell, if you ever bough a 10 yr old bts you could call brian and i would almost bet my dually that he would rebuild the 10 year old trans to current specs which only thing different is the shaft material.... i have been to his shop and seen him build a trans and the fugin crate the he pulls the shafts out of!!!! all the same!!!!!!

mj says he bought a SRP1.1, I wonder if he took it apart to measure what was in the pump or did he take it on faith?

So...question. Can a guy call and order a vb for more than stock hp? Just the vb itself? And would the vb and maybe a tc help a otherwise stock trans live at say..375-400rw? Or would the trans still sht the bed regardless?

I dont pimp it as the only pump that anyone should ever need/want and roast everyone that asks questions about it as a blasphemer.
to me its just parts.

how butt hurt do you have to be to bring up HPOP in a transmission thread?

Ok... Lets play.

He doesn't need to... Sooner or later (my bet is on sooner) it'll barf it's guts out into the valley, and he'll get a real good look at everything that's inside the pump.

Most people don't even have the tools to disassemble a E4OD transmission so I was just wondering if mj had checked out something he had bought since he thinks BTS buyers should be somehow expected to disassemble their transmissions to verify what they got, but has not done so with a product he had purchased.

Sounds like a nutcase to me.:hammer:

And just in case you're wondering I have disassembled and measured my Terminator and it does have 213% more displacement than the stock OBS HPOP.

I've watched Brian disassemble and assemble my transmissions so I guess I have seen all the parts in question. No glass shafts or cardboard clutch plates.

I think the buyer should at least know what he is buying.
is there a parts list anywhere to be found?
without a parts list you are buying on faith. even more so through a third party vendor as in ghohoustons story.

old man dave we have already learned you buy 'secret squirrel' stuff on faith without having a clue what it is just because an internet group says 'this guy is the best'
lets see the pics of the termy guts then Dave, in the appropriate threads of course.

Thank you.. If it's the best in the business and has been for a number of years, why question it? Brian will fix it if it breaks so there is literally no reason for someone to know what's inside.

If BTS was just starting out, you may have a point. But the fact that Brian has been in business as long as he has, with customers willing to wait a couple of months sometimes to get scheduled, and add to it that Brian has never done any advertising, all word of mouth, then you kind of understand, your not operating on faith, your operating on fact.

Brian is not only a great business man, he is a great person. He will give you the shirt off his back, or he will borrow a flatbed, load your truck on it, and drive from Denver CO to Lead Hill AR, nonstop, unload your truck as soon as you get there, pull the tranny, find out what broke, fix it, put it back together so that you can get to work on time the next day, and not charge you a red cent. And that being on a weekend while he was supposed to be relaxing with friends on vacation in Colorado after the races.

But I suppose there are always the doubting Thomas's and if you want to know what is in the tranny, all you have to do is drive to BTS, watch him, he won't mind, shoot, he will probably even take you to lunch.

I provided a 15* and a 17* pump for my dual Terminator and helped in the process of assembling it. And ran it for quite a few Kmiles as a beta tester while checking perormance with AE and its been updated a couple of times to the current specs. No faith involved here.

I have a BTS that I bought in 2003, now has over 80k on it behind a 400 hp PSD driven hard. So, I do believe Brian knows what he's talking about.

I also have a WOP built KASB engine, guess I bought it on faith though. Athough I did check the internals out after I bought it.

Lets see the guts of your personal Stealth 1.1. You may have been a victim of bait and switch,or is it "on faith"

I finally got back to Brian's shop. He pulled the pan and put I a new shift solenoid. The transmission is shifting better now and I haven't had a problem with it not wanting to shift between 2 and 3.

I know what's in mine since Brian made me assemble some of it during the build. I earned my lunch.

And you seem like an ignorant fool.

BTS transmissions have the absolute top of the line hard parts and clutches, in every single one.

If you want an 800 horse transmission, you get those hard parts and clutches, with a valve body set for 800 horse.

If you want a transmission set for stock horsepower, with a lot of heavy towing, you get those hard parts and clutches, with a VB set for heaving towing at stock power.

What's so hard to understand about that?

So bts trans are not all built the same then? I have been told "internals" are all same and VB is set up different for horsepower. You say different. I have a chance to buy a used BTS and now I'm confused if I'm getting a "stock" or "built" BTS.
