my truck has a mystery coolant leak, not sure if it's the radiator or not. Just been puttin coolant back in when it gets low.

From what I've seen it'll usually be wet on the drivers side frame rail behind the front bumper.

Has anyone tried that "Performance Radiator" radiator posted above? Or is it just a rebranded stocker?

I'll be buying one when i do my build here, i think you can get them(locally in canada) for $800 and have decent warranty.

I had 1 done under warranty in the first 20,000 miles and haven't had a problem since. My truck now has 125,000 miles on it.

I have 3 customers that have not had any trouble out of theirs. 1 has almost 100k on his, and the other 2 are around 60k miles. Have seen some have 3 or 4 put on.

Its not just Jeff that is radiator lucky!

Oh and none of them have any of the updated parts that were mentioned a few post ago!

I dont know if this will help but a little birdie told me some interesting things about the rads on these trucks. I dont know if its true or not but here it is.

''I've been talking with a Ford engineer about a completely unrelated project, and the topic of 6.4 radiators came up today.

Ford has duplicated the radiator failure, they're issuing a TSB by the end of the month.

It has been caused (according to the engineer) by a failing O-ring allowing air into the system in the corner of the radiator that is prone to fail''.

So your saying they might have a redesigned radiator by the end of the month? Somebody really messed up with the coolant system on these if they updated nearly every part. LOL

No updated radiator but this is why we are seeing these new parts for the TSB.

9C3Z-8A080-AA Updated degas bottle, single nipple or port
9C3Z-8108-B Updated radiator cap
AC3Z-8260-A Updated upper hose with improved double oring sealing end(hose changes from black plastic ends to white)
AC3Z-8286-A Updated lower hose with improved double oring sealing ends

Does it drip when sitting? That is how I found mine, could see coolant on the cement and just went from there.

Only if it's parked downhill. I think it's from one of the hoses on the degas bottle but i've been too lazy and now busy to get in there and find it and fix it

From what I've seen it'll usually be wet on the drivers side frame rail behind the front bumper.

Yea mine drips on the drivers side but closer to the track bar, i think it's coming from aroudn the degas bottle

Cab ever been off?

There is a coolant tube that's easy to crack and create a leak that's hard to find
Goes from the water pump to Degas bottle and heater hose. Its a Y and its plastic

You guys should check and see if you have a performance radiator located close to you before buying one off the web, just buy it directly from them...Not saying it will be that much cheaper but we have a performance radiator in town and I get all my radiators/condensers from them and they have always been super reasonable on prices

Has anyone talked with Griffen or Ron Davis about building one. If there is enough interest, they may build one. Won't be cheap, but it will last forever

I would be willing to spend $1200 or so on a radiator that'll last. Instead of a new one from the dealer every year.

looks like No Limit will be working on a new radiator. it will not be crazy expensive, i can guarantee that. BFT will be helping with the R&D , give us a few months and we should have something that wont be an issue. Just better cooling efficiency.
