Hope its just a lemon, wouldnt want this to keep happening with all this power youll be adding.

Yeah no doubt, he said this is the first one out of all the ones that they have done. Said it could have even happened during shipping.

Was it your stock tranny? Or built?

Built, but they fixed it and I picked it up this evening.

It's his built tranny. That sucks Eric.

Yeah it did, had to miss a day of work but she's up and running again. It ran fine with the cracked converter it just leaked fluid and I would also assume low line pressure. I actually feels better now than it did when I picked it up the first time which leads me to believe it was already cracked when installed and just got worse with use.

Ouch! Thank god for warranty lol

Yeah they had no problem taking it back in under the knife and even worked late today to get it back to me so I wouldnt have to rent a car.

Didn't you just put it in? I hope it isn't a sign of things to come.

Yeah its about 3 weeks old, but I think it was just a fluke. There is to many high HP trucks running around here with these guys trannys in them, one of them being a good friend of mine and no issues yet that I've heard from them. Its back home and I have a 3 hour round trip to make in the morning so we will see how she does.

Thanks for all the replys and concerns guys, I think it will be fine and I still have a 12 mo warranty on it but I think I'm going to invest in the extra 2 year add on warranty.

I was just getting ready to PM you and see how that tranny was holding up. Hopefully, this was a fluke and it will be reliable from this point forward.

So far its good but now I think the pan gasket is leaking, not a big deal I have a spare but I'm just going to snug the bolts and see if that stops it. Its a really really small leak doesnt even drip but all the same I'd rather it didnt at all.

Been busy swapping out my rear spings with some lift springs so I dont have to run stacked blocks any more, had to move the trackion bar frame mounts about 1" forward afterwards (thanks Matt "Sprmn" for the help). Now after its all done I think I want to swap the stock block out for my tapered 3" one for a slight rake.

Beat it! I have given mine hell a few times in the first two days. LOL Those little leaks suck, but it seems when I go after them I make it worse not better. That chit pisses me off.

I will, I just don't do it in traffic. It's rare to get any room to yourself on any road in the greater Houston area, but when I do I let'er rip. When the turbos are done I plan to take it to Lotts Texas diesel shoot out again.

Had a thought today after a BD rep stopped by. What do you guys think of running just the s480 but using a diverter valve? Im also thinking of throwing a billet wheel on it as well.

I dont know its just an idea.

If you had a smaller exhaust wheel, and smaller exhaust housing...maybe. but I really doubt it.
