I won't be a paying customer but I do care.

I care about the other guys who've plopped down their hard earned cash based on the claims that: the tuners will be in Beta in mid-August (still haven't heard from any Beta a Testers), the units would start shipping Sept. 1 (didn't happen), final updates would be completed in the next week (that was 2 weeks ago) and their last post saying they're waiting on Devices.

Bottom Line: Don't hold your breath on any timeframe that ******* publishes.

I'll keep further comments to myself, since I don't have a dog in this fight.

We are still waiting on tuning device hardware to arrive for our initial shipments, so I've been spending my time putting some tweaks into the software before release. Not babysitting the forums, to pacify people like you who have no interest in actually purchasing our product anyway.

As for the September 1st release, that was the time I set as a goal, not set in stone- you can go back and quote me on that from previously if you'd like. Perhaps you'd prefer I rush things and release some glitchy, bull**** product to everyone instead of taking the time to do it right?

Since it's so easy to do properly and quickly, maybe you should start up your own operation and bring a competing product to market? I've not taken a dollar of your money from this product release, you are owed nothing from us. If we decided tomorrow never to even offer this product, you are out precisely nothing whatsoever. Impatiently whining about a product release from a company you've stated you have zero interest in, is several magnitudes worse than being a petulant child.

The BETA testing has had to be done in-house thus far with other flash devices, since we are still waiting on hardware components. It's the same hardware for BETA or release, so that holds up both. Components have arrived, so it won't be a long wait as of now.

The latest testing has proved that the 600RWHP tuning on 2015's is fairly hard on transmission parts after many WOT runs. The reduced clutch stack in the C35R clutch just isn't holding up long-term. Our test truck was down for about 2 weeks for a rebuild early this month, and I'm glad we broke it, so I can pass that information along to you guys. I'm going to make some further modifications to the 2015/2016 trans calibration for that file, but it shouldn't be expected to survive indefinitely. Converting back to an older C35R 5-disc pack or going with a built trans will be the best option, and I already have calibrations for both built at this point, for guys wanting custom files.

As for SOFT, I have our test switches on the shelf and will get it installed in the truck for some pictures as soon as I have the time. It's going to be an amazingly clean install, and I'm certain you guys will be very happy with what we have to show.

Jeff will be coming up from GA to work with me the last half of this week for both the 11/12 update and SOFT testing, so I'll follow up with an update at the beginning of next week.

I have delt with them since 07 on my 08 6.4. Then my 11 6.7. Always been good, and have had no issues ever getting any update wether for rough shifting or updated engine files etc. All that was required was a nice polite phone call...

That part is just out of the question for a few certain people, because then they have nothing to complain about.

For the other 95%, we are extremely thankful, and eager to help.

SOFT will alter the torque quantity values sent forth to the TCM, and adjust shifting pressures that way.

We will have several versions of the SOFT file available once it's finished, to choose from firmer or softer shifts and more or less aggressive torque converter lockup.

In a nutshell, choose your shift and converter scheduling from the start, and the pressure control will be taken care of for you between power levels.

You do realize that even tho you stated this upfront, There will be a user on a forum go and say that they didn't have any issues before but after they started running your "RACE" tune on their everyday grocery getter that the transmission started to act funny before it went out. Just a pretty sure someone is gonna go there heads up hahaha! But in all seriousness they probably will be at least 1 person do it.
Thanks for posting up the info for sure. Im already saving for a rebuild. It's kind of hard to tell the wife that I'm saving money for something that's gonna break, But isn't broke yet. Then she asks Well what's wrong with it and I say nothing that it's fine. I usually get a dumb look then she walks off lol.

Looking forward to the release 👍🏼
Ready to order one for my personal project as well as a couple of customer vehicles as well. Extremely stand up to forewarn of potential trans issues as well, not many would bother doing that.

From Post #65 (7/25/15)
We are releasing 13-16MY devices for shipment on September 1st.

Doesn't sound like a "goal" to me.

From Post #91 (7/25/15)
Your beta unit will be in the mail as soon as I put a few finishing touches on the converter lockup

I thought you were doing all the Beta testing "in house", yet you state you were shipping Beta units to vendors.

From Post #138 (7/28/15)
As far as orders, I'll let everyone know as soon as we are ready to start accepting pre-orders. I would expect sometime around the second week in August, at this point.

From Post #208 (8/4/15)
Wanted to give everyone an update concerning SOTF options, since Jeff announced our pre-order release today (visit the threa in our forum, http://powerstrokearmy.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=65585)

I have our SOFT product working on my truck currently (a 2015), and carrying out the first layer of testing. As I mentioned before, I can't guarantee it will be done for our September release, but I'm pressing as hard as I can to get it finished.

From Post #1 of the referenced thread (8/4/15)
We are now taking pre-orders for all 6.7L tuning devices scheduled for release in September. The nGuage units will begin shipping the first week of September. The nDash units will begin shipping the second or third week of September.

Once again, I'm reading that you'll be shipping units as early as the first week of September. I guess your "goal" was to ship them.

If I've misquoted you (or Jeff) please let me know and I'll apologize.

I have been critical of you (insert your company name) on this thread because you've made it a habit of getting people all lathered-up about new products (or product updates), only to have those dates pushed further and further into the future. Your record over the years (I'm referring to countless comments you and/or your employees have made on various diesel forums, as well as your own forum) speaks for itself, so there's no need for me to apologize for my statements on this thread regarding you not making "self imposed" deadlines.

Even in my criticism, I never stooped to your level of immaturity and resorted to personal insults & name calling. Now who's being the petulant child? (Your words, not mine).

I'm not an unforgiving, vindictive person and don't get into name calling, so I'll end this by saying: Best of luck to you getting your product to market and I hope it is a rousing success for both you and your customers.

I believe Matt's response to your post answered your concerns regarding this. Availability of hardware hindered our ability to get beta units out, like it has hindered our ability to get orders out.

Yes, we had a date in mind. It was more of a month we had in mind, and hopeful thinking for the first week of this month. Things have happened, though, and it has delayed us. I think that's pretty simple to understand. Those who have placed pre-orders seem to be pretty understanding, while you take it upon yourself to stir this mess up on the forums (not knowing what's going on) with zero desire to purchase our products.

What it looks like from my end of the computer screen (and I'm sure I speak for many) is a bunch of instigating and drama.

Once again, we began taking pre-orders last month with the expectations that hardware would be on-hand and the tuning side buttoned up. Things happen and cause delays. That's life. Thank goodness most people understand that.

Refer to the above portion of my response.

I've touched on all of this above. We've had some snags along the way that we haven't been able to prevent.

As Matt stated, 1.) we don't want to release something before it's as close to perfection as possible, and 2.) we've had a hold up on hardware.

Once again, I'm reading that you'll be shipping units as early as the first week of September. I guess your "goal" was to ship them.

There really isn't much more to be said from me regarding this (drama). If Matt wants to add to it, I'm sure he will.

Just keep in mind, the holdups are just as frustrating for us as they are our customers. We're extremely proud of this product.

Please enlighten us about all the products you yourself have brought to market. How many have had no delays?

I know it's not the same but:

I've been a High-End, Custom home builder for over 25 years. We're talking about homes in the $500,000.00 to $2,000,000.00 price range, which is top-shelf for West Texas, where a median price house is around $225.00.

Knock-on-Wood, but in all these years I never made a commitment to a customer that I didn't keep, never had a project exceed the budget and never missed a closing deadline.

Enough about me and the apples to turbo-charger comparison.

I've apologized to Matt and the Gang for what I viewed as "Promises made, Promises broken". I've also wished him Well for this and all future endeavors.
Evidently there isn't another person on this forum who agrees with any of my statements or opinions, so I'll concede that I was wrong and got out of control.

Let's end this here and now.

Truce!!!
