Confederate had the cab up

and if you want my opinion about cab pulling...

It depends on the job you're doing, if youre just pulling the engine it is easier to just pull grill and rad assembly and the dressed engine minus turbos pulls out the front really nicely with plenty of room

If you're going under the valve covers in the truck it only makes sense to pull the cab

there's a million ways to do it

Also there's a lot of extra wiring etc etc that makes pulling the cab a little more time consuming

so far, so good. it has an intermittent charging problem that it had before, and still has we're chasing down. The electrical harnesses were changed significantly when the turbo kit was done, so it's taking a while to pinpoint were the suspected short is. Whenever it quit charging on the test drive, all we had to do was hit a bump just right, and it'd pick right back up. Now to do a wiggle test & ohm out the signal wires to the pcm and high current junction block. Probably a spread loose pigtail connection, or something simple. Gotta catch it in the act though.

Oh, yeah. and it's hoodless still because Dan started a new trend today

imp: er, maybe it's a major pain in the butt to work around whatever bar we have to use to prop the hood open since both hood struts were removed to make room for the turbo kit. Oh, well. Once we're sure it's all ironed out, the 4 bolts will go back in, and we'll move on with life. As well as going out for live tuning, I'm pretty sure the custom auto guys will have it for a few days or so to refine and finish a few things that got rushed together to make the dpc deadline. Maybe one of these years you'll get to take it home Dan LOL

Up late, found a loose ground connection and we have a consistent 14.4v. Feels good to be behind the wheel of this thing again even if it'll be just for a few days! Few minor things to iron out but so far very Iimpressed with this new engine! Hasn't missed a beat!
