Shawn called me before I could call him. He said the truck should be done end of next week but the turbo parts are not in his hand yet. Idk. Guess it all depends on the parts showing up on time. Is yours finished?

Good luck Dustin. I look forward to lots of pictures, cause I would like to set up a set of compounds in a similar fashion, just need to find someone that can weld. Curious why you went with a 71mm instead of one of Tadd's 66mms if you are worried about spool up. Unless you plan to go quite a bit bigger with your low pressure in the future.

And this

The reason for tge 71 is ellerton od using one with good luck. A local truck runs the 66 and spools great still so I figured a 71 would be ok. Might have a litter lag I can deal with some if I'm making power in trade but I think it will spool decent

O man... project is goin fast! There is a ton of room in that wheel well. So Im not clear on your downpipe route... Are you going outside of the frame in the wheel well or staying inside?

Dustin do u have the oil drain figured out yet? I wanna do this remote mounted turbo like u and been tossing around the idea of using a oil drain sump like they use on some high end cars. Having a catch can and a pump to bring the oil back up to motor might be a way to go and have a pressure sensor in the line to make sure all is well.

I think the best place for the oil drain is going to be in the rear sump of the oil pan at the top, its fairly easy to get to and i think i could weld it in if need be, i think thats where im going to try and put it.

As long as the drain is above the oil in the pan it should be fine anywhere right?

There was a little thread and debate about the oil drain being above the oil level, thats all im worried about is poking a hole in the oil pan and striking oil LOL
