    Hard start

The pistons did not look bad at all. I'm just going to pull the head on that side when I have the chance. I don't think that head sealed right for whatever reason. I had a coolant leak from that side that I couldn't find and I think it was coming from the headgasket area. And it was coolant...

    Hard start

After doing headstuds on my truck, I have a few problems. One is when starting, it stumbles then runs fine. Rail pressure builds quickly still, cranks for 3 to 4 seconds then starts but sounds really bad for a few seconds then is fine. It's much worse when warm. The other issue is I have oil...

    Front coil overs

I have spent some time trying to figure out how to make it work. Honestly it seems like way to much effort. I talked with Trevor at pmf for awhile about it and you would be lucky to get more than 5" of total travel with reasonable up travel going any lower than a 5200 spring. Even with coil...

How's every ones 6.4 stock tranny holdin up?

Mine is still doing Okay at 110k, I haven't been overly hard on it for the last year since it slipped at the track after 50+ passes, but has still survived. When new trans time comes, its getting a used stocker. I can go through 4+ stockers at the power levels I'll be staying at and still be...

Help with park brake cable removal

That's where I was born. Have family in Hanford. I do remember when replacing the cables that there was a joint there. But I was replacing the cables so it was already broken so I didn't even think of pulling that apart first.

Help with park brake cable removal

If its the same as earlier years, you can disconnect it from the pedal in the cab. It takes a little work but its doable. Had to change it many times on the 2000 7.3.

    led dome light bulbs

The ones I got from superbright glow very dim, and I did blue on the centers and white on the sides. Blue is just the right brightness and the whites are crisp and super bright when I turn them on.

    Shocks advice

Look at the custom mount shocks on their site. They have a lot of options and with as low as your truck sits, they should be long enough. The street stars are the double adjustable ones. You could even go one level further and add coilovers in the front when you do the conversion.

    Shocks advice

Look into fully adjustable from someone like QA1 or chassis works, both have 18 compression and 18 rebound adjustments. Once dialed you have track settings and street settings. I believe PMF is a QA1 dealer. They are pricey but worth it for maximum adjustability. And being fully rebuilbable...

    Noisy traction bars

Do your ballistic joints have the white or red races? The white ones were super squeaky until they were replaced with the new style red ones. And for splitting bushings, I also went to a red polyurethane bushing that is larger and have not had any issues in the last 1.5 years since the change.

Rear seat out, tow package, spare, all skid plates, tailgate, and any thing loose in the truck. No sun roof so that helps.
