Oil temp vs coolant temp?
I was wondering what you guys see with your engine oil temp vs engine coolant temp. I was driving from Maryland to Tennessee for a family vaca. Had the cruise control set around 75mph, came down I-81. Air temps in the high 80's. Truck is all stock, beside an S&B CAI, and an MBRP filter back... -
Edge insight monitoring info
Im running: DPF load% Boost EGT 1 ECT EOT TFT I choose those for when towing, and dont really change them. I do like knowing when the Regen cycle is on an off also. I would have thought ford would have put some sort of notice in the dash, besides the cleaning exhaust filter notice. -

Mine regens, about once a tank. I also run Ford diesel additive whenever I fill the tank. I do some highway and some around town driving. My beater's in the shop, so ill be driving the truck more the next two weeks, Ill be interested in seeing how much it regens the next two weeks. -
Turbo timer / programmer
If you have an Edge CTS insight monitor, there is a turbo timer that you can buy to run with it. I did some searching around the net and found it. It can be set up to run for a pre-specified time frame, or by temp from an EGT sensor. It also looks like BD Diesel has one out. I'm assuming...- Fyrman25

Fuel additives
I also run motorcraft additive. The service writer at the dealership where I bought the truck, recommended I run it. I run it every other tank. -

I bought a can of adhesive remover. I soaked both 6.7 badges, let it sit for a little while. Then focused on one badge at a time. I checked the ford owners manual, and stand corrected, it says the DPF may have to be removed and cleaned from ash build up around 120k miles. It may have to be replaced around 250k miles depending engine and vehicle condition.- Fyrman25

Lets talk about the H&S street tuner
Doesn't the truck going into regen more often, shorten the life expectancy of the DPF though? If it does shorten it, does any one know by how much? I believe ford recommends replacing the DPF around 150k miles.- Fyrman25
